I've seen brown eyes in the comic too but that was maybe the colourist's mistake. Also so many actor's who have been Batman have had brown eyes so I guess that must have confused me.

This one is all Photoshop, but yeah it does have that kind of markery effect (it will be a long time before i can afford some real markers); the two previous to this were watercolors.
