Description Was most fortunate to be asked to write a chapter for the upcoming Digital Painting Techniques Vol. 4 so I painted this as a tutorial piece to demonstrate my approach, painting metals, liquids, calculating reflections and yes, illustrating psychotic pets.

Do not build one of these at home... water and electricity together are not your friend.

I originally was going to make the device more like those old robot toys from the 50's and 60's but ended up going a bit more steampunk in the end. Seemed right for a goldfish somehow!
