WAAAAAAY too long. Painting croc skin is a sure way to go 'round the bend. Lucky for me, I'm already loopy!

Yoiks! You do work on a big 1:1! Hardly give one pixel a chance to shine. Hmmm, you do start with a base sketch by hand (?), otherwise you'll have to tell us how you stop your pulse to keep your digitizer pen steady. Ninja illustration? Ninjillustration...
I know somebody with a watch just like that... I think. You even have labels on her shoe tongues. Zoom in just a little farther and we could read them.

I do like to paint big - easier to cram a lot of senseless detail that 90% of viewers will miss!
I love sketching on paper, and always start with a trusty pencil, scan in my sketch and paint in photoshop.
I dont use a digital pen/wacom tablet for the computer end of things - I paint with a mouse, but its a magical blackbelt ninja mouse even if it looks exactly like an old standard one click mouse from apple.
And I DO know someone with a watch like that - ME! I never actually wear it, but got it out of the draw and put it on my left hand wrist and painted what I saw.

Its funny, I'm so aware of my short comings and what I need to work on, that I sometimes feel a little guilty at such glorious compliments - its like I'm waiting for everyone to discover the mistakes and bits that need more work and then they'll write "... on second thoughts, hmmmm, not so great!" We are our worse critics I fear.

Its a very well trained and athletic mouse - it can juggle cheese, balance on a fishing line and colour co-ordinate my marker pens in 42 seconds flat!
