Starting my own 'How fast is your spaceship?' week of scifi nerdiness. Today, Star Wars...What can I say, I love my scifi!
Pencil, ink on paper, Paint in photoshop.
EDIT: Fixed the spelling of 'Millennium' (d'oh!) and added the parsec disclaimer. If only George Lucas had put one in in his movie

About the βparsec controversyβ, itβs fun to note that Lucas gave a scientific explanation to it: distances are shortened as starships fly fast near black holes where time and distances are distortedβ¦ so the fastest ship is the one that shortened ranges the most ! (read that on some Star Wars Wiki but donβt know if itβs true

"Found On Roads Dead"...I'm familiar with that phrase too.Β My late dad always said that about GM cars because he had more trouble with them than with Ford cars...but after his last Ford had mechanical issues, he switched to Honda.

Thanks Glen! I too first saw Star Wars IV at the theatre... but I lose all geek cred points when I explain it was the Special Edition version that came out in the late 90's and I've never actually seen a version where Solo shoots first!
