Those WIP pictures are pretty nice to look at, thanks for that.
Yeah i agree with that self discovering thing but it also is fun to learn from others. Especially if you feel stuck with some technics you explored and donΒ΄t get further development.
Maybe you want to share some tipps with hobby artists like me who pretty much enjoy your art.

"Sharpening some shadows and lines" yeah that sounds exactly like what my art could need, any ideas on how to handle that? (IΒ΄m using Photoshop and mainly use one maybe two layers for coloring.)

I created a lot of masks for the hair on ronnie, a bit like old school air brushing - as well as some quick strokes with the mouse. Doesn't look really real, but the stylized look kind of suits the style for this I think.
