I want to dedicate this to my grandma. She is my world and I don't know where I would be without her. She did this for me this year and it means so much to me, I was brought to tears. I love you so much Gama!  I also have another version of this theme I want to type up so keep posted. I also wanted to say unless I say otherwise these will all be in Meg's P.O.V.  :  )
I'm still not sure how I was talked into coming to my family Christmas gathering. I'm willing to bet it was my Gama who convinced me the most. Something about everyone there wanting to meet my fiancé. I had put it off for a year. Now I was there with my family and Matt. God help us all.
      Amelia wasn't here this year because she was with her boyfriend's family for Christmas. What was his name? Jay, Nay, Bray? I wouldn't know; I've never met him...So, I was all alone in defending myself. Well, Matt was there but together, we wouldn't do much. Both being lazy asses and probably just up and leave.
For Christmas my family gathers at my Aunt Anna's house on Christmas Eve. We open presents and eat dinner. Then we all go our separate ways. My mother and father brought the ham and were late. So when they got here we immediately prayed and started eating.  As expected I got a dirty look from my father when I curled up into Matt's side after he sat down. I never ate on Christmas Eve.
      Matt and my cousin, Sam, already had their throw down. Sam had this urge to protect his little cousin that he helped raise. Matt was just slightly taller than him. Sam's tall, when he gives me a hug I come up to about his chin. (Just so you all can see the difference between Meghan and Mathias.) He had his turn at 'what are your intensions of marrying her bla, bla, bla.' From what I can tell Matt passed his test with flying colors. If only my father had the same sense.
After we all had finished eating it was time for presents. When I was younger, I was the one to pass out presents. I have long since passed down my job to MY cousin, Jacob.  He was born when I was twelve; I'm twenty-two now which means he's 10.
    He started with my Uncle Bill's present; his would take the longest. His present was one of those irritating gifts which were boxed and wrapped a million times. In the beginning it was huge box. As it progressed it got smaller and smaller. It turned into a little rolling ball maze with a twenty-five dollar gift card in it.
Soon enough I got my first gift; from my Gama. I knew what everyone had gotten from my Gama but me. (Naturally.) I had guessed at it a few times but soon gave up. Tearing away the paper I found it was a jewelry box.  Slightly confused I cocked my head to the side and opened the top drawer. I reeled back in shock and snapped my head around to look at her. I was speechless; she had given me all of her jewelry. I felt my eyes begin to water and tried to blink it back.
     She smiled and started to explain. "When you were little you used to love playing with my jewelry. So, I decided to give you all of it. And the words on the top are what I think of you."
      The top of the box was engraved with words like, gorgeous, smart, likeable, talented, glamorous, sweet, and graceful. I smiled and let out a small chuckle. I then got up to hug her, and was tripped by Sam on my way back. And I landed quite ungracefully on my face in front of Ty, Sam's older sister's Fiancé. Who in turn laughed and held out a hand and helped me up and into Mathias' lap. I smiled and let a few tears slide down my face. It didn't matter if I cried, cause it meant so much to me.
