Description
Morgan looked at me like I had grown a third eye. But after a few seconds she snapped out of it.
"Don't do this to me. Please Ashley!" she begged. I just stared at her with a blank face. Why did it matter to me?
"I can't Morgan. You of all people should know that. Sorry." I said quietly
"You better be sorry, you took Luke away from me!" she yelled, tears streaming down her face. "He loved me before you! He told me he loved me! I know he didn't lie!"
I sighed. Luke was an annoying, persistent, perverted, and caring guy. Him, of all people, I had to defend from her memories. It was going to be difficult hence I usually fight with him.
"Well Luke has changed mind and heart. He went though a lot with me. Especially when I was in the hospital, after this," Taking off my glove to show her." After all, it was his fault. But, if you wish, I can get Luke to come and talk to you personally."
She just stared at my hand. That made me feel more uncomfortable than I already was.
"Yeah I would like that thank you." She said quietly.
I quickly turned around to talk to Derek. As soon as I pressed the ear piece, Derek picked up.
"You finally called! I was worried that Luke had got you."
"Actually, I need Luke right now." I said in a sheepish voice.
He seemed speechless about this. "wha-wha-what?" he asked shocked.
"Morgan."
"Ohhh. She's upset isn't she?"
"For her time never passed." I said sadly.
"I see."
"Put Luke on." I said with no hesitation.
"Hmm."
I heard arguing over the next few minutes.
"Ashley?" Luke asked a little worried.
I struggled down a muffled laugh." Hey Luke! I need you at cell 2634. Right away." I rushed.
"….."
"Ppppllllleeeeaaaasssseeee?!"
Luke just sighed. "Why?"
"Morgan got out of her cell. Now she's bugging me about that you love her and not me."
He started growling so much louder than usual that it scared me.
"Luke?" I asked in barely a whisper.
"I am so sorry, Ashley. I should have told her that I didn't love her anymore."
"It's okay Luke. Just clear it up now."
"Alright. I am still very sorry though. You shouldn't have to go through that. It's unfair."
"Thanks. Oh, and Luke?"
"Yeah what?"
"I love you too." I said nervously.
"Ashley, no jokes."
"I'm not joking. I'm very serious right now."
"We'll see." With that note he hung up.
I figured that was going happened. I sighed, oh well.
"Luke's on his way."
"Thanks a lot."
"You better be thankful. When Luke gets here-"
"When I get here what?" I heard Luke ask.
"I didn't have time to finish. I can't remember what I was going to say."
"Oh? Are you sure?"
"Very."
"Luke!" Morgan said excitedly. "I'm glad you're here. That nobody over there was giving me trouble."
Luke started growling again and pulled me behind himself.
"Ashley isn't a nobody! She's the only person who can see through me. You just saw my looks. I never really loved you. Get over it." He barked.
Morgan looked so hurt then, I almost felt sorry for her. Then she through a punch. It looked pathetic, I mean, I could throw a better punch. Her fist collided with Luke's chest with really no force. Luke just laughed. I guess he didn't feel it.
"That nobody can throw a punch that I can feel."
Morgan gritted her teeth and spat," Her metal arm, right?"
He winced, probably from the horrid memory.
"Hey watch your mouth! Or you'll feel the pain it causes him when I hit him." I snapped, knowing she felt the daggers I was aiming at her head.
"Ya' know what?"
"What?"
"I won't."
I glanced up at Luke. He was staring at me with a stunned expression. Like he just realized something. He nodded. I smiled. Not just any smile, but my evil smile.
"Fine it's your face." I muttered under my breath.
I wound up my good arm, the metal one, and let it go. It hit her face, grazing her cheek. Apparently she noticed the blood and started hyperventilating.
"Twenty dollars on thirty seconds." Luke betted, with a sly smile.
"I'll say twenty on ten." I said.
one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. And she's out like a light.
"I win." I said triumphantly with a smirk. He just rolled his eyes and pulled out a twenty.
"Here you little monster. Take it and stay out of trouble."
"But I love trouble!"
"I know. That reminds me, you have some new things waiting for you in your room."
"Thanks. Can I take Damian back to where he needs to go?"
"Sure, sure. Just hurry up."
I just nodded. I understood, what was in my room was really special. I walked over to the already sleeping Damian. I knew he was two years younger than me, but he should have more energy.
"Wake up, superstar. Time to go."
"Hmmm?"
"Come on."
I grabbed his right arm and slung it over my shoulders, supporting his weight. Dragging him all the way to my new, black, and very expensive Ferrari hurt my back. I placed him in the passenger seat and carefully shut the door. Turning around I ran directly into Luke.
"Oops." I said quietly.
"Hmm. That's my line this time. But, don't I get a good-bye kiss?"
I laughed at his comment. Of course, that's what he wants me to think. I got up on my toes and pressed my lips against his. He wrapped his arms around my waist as I wrapped my arms his neck. Damn it. He knows I'm ADD.
I pulled away saying," I'll be back soon." He let me go, and I jumped into the driver's seat and drove off.
