EDIT: This has been retconned. See:Pandora's very first day of school in Ponyville. It didn't go well.
The ponies in Equestria have been shown to be curiously xenophobic toward non-pony species, even the relatively harmless ones (yaks, Zecora, buffalo, mules, minotaurs, etc). Combine that xenophobia with the honest brutality of school children for a fairly traumatic first day for young Panny. Ponyville ain't all rainbows and friendship
This drawing here is the official beginning of Pandora's "Coronation" story arc, exploring her growth, rise (and fall) as a princess. At some point I'll probably sort out all the main story drawings into sequential order
