A piece I drew and coloured back in May at the start of summer, showcasing one of my rare Male OC's.This is Yeg Va Yar, just Yeg for short. A Kig-Yar (Halo Jackal) Marksman with a fondness for exotic rifles. Here he is shown armed with the M-98 Widow Anti-Tank Rifle (Mass Effect 2 & 3) - [link]
Overall I'm quite pleased with this. The rifle was total hell to do, but worth it in the long run. I toyed with the idea of re-colouring it in Alliance blue and white or the ME3 "Black Widow" varient, but overall the traditional one fits better in my opinion.
As I drew this, I realised that I was actually re-do'ing / updating my older work from around a year before: [link] It's nice to see I've made some improvements.

I only got the excuse to draw this when ME3 has lighter soldiers like Salarians and Asari carrying Widow's around without breaking their shoulders. And I guess it was out of missing the Beam Rifle that made me want to draw a good sniper rifle (I haaaaated the Reach Focus Rifle)

Oh yes, the Focus rifle .. I wonder if I ever used it, even once? Probably stuck to the Needle Rifle. I miss that so much on Halo 4.

Seeing as I still haven't played any of Mass Effect yet (-.- *sigh*), I can't really give any feedback on how much it looks like the actual thing, but it looks really good from strictly an art standpoint, you did a fine job on it whether the job was hellish or not. Great work

xDDD Well but you managed an amazing, perfect rifle and a perfect face expression! Don't worry about ti, I'd say your detail on the rifle makes it a bit of the focus of the piece, but that's no bad thing. As I said, your rifle is amazing~

I guess it IS a little hard to miss.
I've already got a bunch of ideas! I got sudden inspiration and sketched some pose ideas for an Elsy fuly armoured (besides the helmet) action image with a good title. But I did just see "The Dark Knigth Rises", and LOVED it, so a part of me wants to draw fanart of it
Also the cinema staff gave me a ticket stubb for Row N, Seat 7...
Coincidence.... or psychic staff.
