Yes and no. Boom isn't canon to CWCollateral, but for the sake of continuity I "borrowed" some elements and incorporated them into our updated character designs (Sonic's scarf, Tails' goggles, Amy's dress, etc.)
Keep in mind it's been over a decade since Perfect Chaos attacked Station Square. Can't expect a celebrity to look like they did in a photo taken ten years before. In our case, said photos became the basis of Sonic's public image for the years that followed (The "Modern" era.)
