Description
This is the main character of yet another story that I am semi-actively writing,
in this story a small child has been born with a rather unique and acursed ability,
the ability to see the condition of men's souls. He has a mismatched set of eyes, one is red and cat-like, while the other has no pigment or pupil. Tragically this boy is much like a mirror to the soul, when he sees the evil in men his evil eye reacts violently and forces the rest of the body to painfully morph into the evil it sees. Sadly the one reflected by the boy almost never survives as he is attacked by the physical manifestation of his own sin.
The little boy cannot speak as no one ever was around long enough to teach him how. He has only known pain and sorrow as he has been forced against his will to single-handedly slaughter any who dare come within his sight.
Later in the story, he takes to wearing a blindfold so that he will be unable to kill anyone, he stumbles through the forest, blind, and eventually makes his way to a small village where he is adopted by a kind family.
There he grows to manhood without anyone finding out his secret, he grows to love a family that he has never seen, and finds a girl to care for.
The end is where I'm still hazy, I'm thinking that the village is going to be raided and the boy takes off his blindfold to protect his family, but somehow his "good" eye comes into play...
