Description
It should be obvious what was my inspiration for this pic.Just playing with my wacom and photoshop.
This is my first unmasked Predator I've done.
Edit:
I've updated the pic - some enhancements and fixes, darkened, and added a de-cloaking effect to it. Oh, it' now a wallpaper.

has also featured this piece in one of her journals ( [link] ). Here is what she had to say.
"I found some pretty wicked art in this gallery! This dude has a few kinds of art styles, but in lieu of the new Aliens vs. Predator movie that just came out, I wanted to find someone who had successfully pulled it off."
Plus I sent this in to PlanetAvP.com's fanast section (page 63 I think) but he imaged link the page wrong - someone elses pic shows up. So far (months later) he has not fixed this...
Edit 2:
I colored the enhanced version of the wallpaper:

Fantastic! I'm completely impressed with this drawing! White charcoal on black paper is so cool and you handled the Predator so well, the dreads look so real...I just
it!

I started with just a pencil sketch! Once in Photoshop I did a level to darken the pencil then a brightness contrast to make all the white into a medium grey. from there... all smudging! (I'm pretting good at smuding - especially for creatures!)
I've made some enhancements to it in this wallpaper version (also added de-cloaking effet to it)

Even my Pred is rushed - if your monitor is bright you'll see why.
It takes a while for me to fo this kind of detail.

Thank you. I dedcided to try out and mix some new and different techniques. I was still lazy on it and rushed the BG like always - but quite as much as usual. I think I maybe actually ready to start being a serious worker...?
Yes, a Wacom does allow a lot of new possibilites that were very hard to do with a mouse. Mine cost me $100, but it does work nice. I just wished my friend would have found his old one and gave it to me though (he just couldn't find the stylus pen - but I asked him to bring the rest of it anyways.... but he didn't, so I bought my own).

ahh i c
that's kind of funny because when i used the wacom at school I tended to push it aside and use the mouse more so... I guess cuz I'm so used to using the mouse I'm even better using the mouse than I am the wacom tablet. However, I still used it a little to goof off with and fix up some things i couldn't with the mouse....

Yeah, I'm also really used to a mouse - I haven't made a full conversion to a Wacom.
Some things are easier to do with a wacom than a mouse, but some things are better done with the mouse rather than a wacom. It just depends.

This is honestly my favorite of the pictures that you have posted so far in terms of the sheer skill and detail that went into it. I think the black backround is a good idea, because it doesnt detract from the overall skill and detail of the head itself. This is THE best rendering of the Predator that i have ever seen, or even of any creature in photoshop (or whatever graphics program you use). Very good job.
Come back to Wc3campaigns... PLZ

Thx, (it was actually quickly done - from a sketch) if I took more time on it, and blew up about x2 or x3 times I could make it far more detailed - but I'm lazy as al ways.
Yes, done in Photoshop.
Sorry, I still don't feel welcome to post my art there.
