Personally, I have many issues with this episode in particular despite how much I'm enjoying the anime. But I can't deny that this is a greatly evocative picture, and a worthy piece.

I appreciate what the anime has to offer, while enjoying the manga version more of the same.
There is an issue of course, but not as glaring enough for me to care about it and I think the emotional impact it has in this episode pretty much clouded everything else.
