Here she is... Inspector Li Chun Hua or as she's better known Chun-Li.
Hua is the daughter of Hong Kong Royal Police officer Li Jan Hua, one of the forces most talented cops. He was also a star pupil of Gen, a famous mantis/crain style practitioner and former assassin.
Jan Hua discovered a secret underground human trafficking ring running through most of Asia. In almost all cases the people being kidnapped were fighters that were drugged with an unclassified substance. When two fighters from his school went missing Jan took a special personal interest in finding out what was going on.
His daughter , a trainee at the Royal police academy decided it was time to use her skills in the field.
The trail led to an organization called Shadowlaw. Jan managed to infiltrate one of their bases of operations in Thailand. Li was right behind him. The fighters were being used as test subjects for a man named 'Bison'.
They were thrown into a sort of underground tournament and the winners simply went away to receive the "ultimate prize"...becoming Bison's new body.
Jan saw his students thrown into the fight, he couldn't sit by and simply watch. Neither could Li. She prematurely disrupted the tournament causing her father to also reveal himself. The two were beaten by a man named Vega. Jan took the longer of the two to defeat. Vega saw it fitting that he be brought to his Master...none other than Bison.
Li on the other hand suited Vega's fancy so he decided that he'd keep her for himself but not until she was seemingly broken at the sight of Bison assimilating her father's body. Instead of breaking her this empowered her. Her rage was the power she needed to help her endure and then escape.
2 years later she re-appears as one of interpol's top inspectors. Her sole mission is to bring down Shadowlaw and one day get a shot at the man called "Bison".
