whattup folks, heres my version of a painting of dr. doom that the good doctor would himself have hanging in his castle in latveria. european nobles were well known for comissioning portraits and im 100percent certain that someone as vain as doom would have no less than one in every room of himself or his family. so i tried to match an early european renaissance color scheme native to germany/austria/sweden mixed with slightly fututrist color dodges, as i figure that this is the style doom would dig. hope u enjoy lookin at it as much as i did paintn it!-kRelated content

I like it, i do, and I know how fond u are of computer artwork, but I would love to see some oldschool Kevin work.

lol no what u mean is 'ink' something. and i'd like to eventually get work, so i need to practice on digital stuff. cause inking is going the way of the dinosaurs (sadly)

Inking will never be about Traditional vs. Digital, the only hang up might be getting beat out due to speed, but if you're fast enough, you can still compete....PLUS i'm pretty sure that it can be argued that traditional inking is as quick or faster, depending on how you go about inking

there is no accounting for taste, i don't think the inker will ever be fully weeded out, because aside from everything else we are finishing artists, and most pencilers are too lazy to finish themselves, so there

hey, good eye! when i was lookin at ol doomy, his gun was like 75percent megatron already, so why not 100%? plus i did it that way in case i want to use the optimus drawing i posted previously and this piece as panels on a sequential pg of them tussling (with a little tweaking of course to make it all work!) n thnks mate for takin a look!

hey thanks! i cant wait to see u do a completely digital piece by the way. i think u might gravitate to it real quick cause its closer to the mechanics of spraypaintin than traditional art (which has always been a bit of a chore, and a limited chore at that!)

that was a problem for me too. theres this kinda psychic block as artists that we put up sometimes when it comes to usin tools we arent as used to. but the best bet is to use a mixture of the two as u see fit. but dont shy away just cause its a diff thing (like i did).
