Description
me: "Alright, time to give her an outfit. Let's aim for something decent and practical as a change, instead of a prostitute's uniform like i usually do"me to me: "CLEAVAGE AND HIGH THIGH SLITS IT IS THEN"
---
Isolt was born with a third eye that allows her to gaze into the future (unlike Yasmin who has often cryptic visions of the past, present and future, Isolt can literally see future events unfolding in a place she has a clear visual of, like for instance a town she's in or if she has a detailed map in front of her)
Isolt was born during a snow storm, in her family's stronghold far up in the cold north.
Unfortunately Isolt's family, a rather stuck up noble family who values their family's dignity above all else, were mortified by the three eyed freak and after the storm settled, her father left her in the woods to die.
Luckily a kind hearted pilgrim was passing by, and just happened to hear the infant's cries and found her. He saw the gleaming red eye in the middle of her forehead, and thought she was a gift from the gods. He could already tell that she was born with something great.
As he considered himself unfit to raise a child because of his lifestyle, he didn't hesitate to take her to an orphanage. But upon receiving the child and discovering her grotesque βdefectβ, the matron refused to take her in at first, but eventually agreed after the pilgrim paid them the little money he had, and promised to keep sending them money for every year they took care of her, and to increase the sum every year.
Yet, despite her patron's support and yearly visits, she still grew up as an outcast in the orphanage, always abused and picked on by the other children because of her eye, so she always wore a headband to cover it up.
Her powers began to emerge as she hit puberty, and as they did she spent all her time trying to suppress her ability, rather than learning how to use it. Which unfortunately only made things worse, as she grew older she'd sometimes mix up her future sight with the present, and grew mad as she slowly lost the ability to tell the present and the future apart.
And after the pilgrim was murdered by robbers on his way to see her on his yearly visit the matron, now fearing for the safety of the other children, kicked Isolt out.
She was 14, and left alone in the world with only her curse to keep her company.
She managed to survive in the outskirts of a nearby town, stealing scraps to survive and living in an abandoned shed. People who saw her could often see the young snow leopard scream and shout in terror of, for them, the unseen. Thinking that the child was possessed, people would either avoid her like the plague, or chase her off at the mere sight of her.
But by pure chance, or fate, Yasmin, the feline Queen of the wolf kingdom, happened to stumble upon her while she was on an errand in town.
She could immediately tell that the little confused, scared and seemingly insane snow leopard was special, and offered to take her in and give her food and shelter for the night. Too hungry and cold to think about what might happen if the wolf queen found out about her eye, Isolt accepted.
And Yasmin did find out. Isolt's scarf that she had wrapped around her head to cover her eye slipped down as she was taking a bath offered by the generous queen.
Isolt was terrified, but rather than being appalled, Yasmin felt a mix of curiosity and empathy, and after getting Isolt to tell her about her eye and the gift that came with it, she decided to let Isolt stay and take her under her wings.
To help the young girl learn how to control her powers, and teach her that she's not a curse, but a gift. Just like the pilgrim had foreseen all those years ago.
For the first time Isolt had found a kindred soul, with powers of her own who could relate to her in a way no one else can. Yasmin became like a mother figure to her, and in return Isolt became her apprentice, and assists king Alric in any way she can with her powers (which is a huge weight off Yasmin's shoulders seeing how her visions seem to get weaker every year).
Isolt quickly grew attached to both the king and queen, and loves them like her family. She's always seen by their side, standing in the shadows by Yasmin's side, and would give her life for them if she ever had to.
Due to the damage her mind sustained from keeping her powers supressed for so long, it took 6 long years before she learned how to control them. And even with Yasmin's help, she still finds them difficult to handle, and her mind is still frail and sensitive to impressions. She still has a few meltdowns when she becomes overwhelmed, but Yasmin is always there to soothe her and help her focus on the world around her. Teaching her step by step to become the master of her own powers.

Oh my Gawd! Look at her beautiful tail. "0o0"
I love her story as well, never accept a lable of inferiority, turn your qualities into strengths. Use your free will to focus your abilities and become a victor not a victim.Β

snow leopards have the best tails! No wonder they like to nom on 'em <3
mhmm, that is the exact lesson Yasmin teaches her. I've always wanted to give her an apprentice who just like her has been born with powers but, instead of learning how to deal with them already from the start, has been forced to keep them suppressed for her own safety, and thus become more like a guardian for her than a master~
i'm so very happy that you like her tho! Thank you so much ;w;

yeah, the classic story of a broken, lonely individual who finally finds allies and slowly heals thanks to their love and support. It's a common trope but man i like it~ <3
