I like your map. Clearly it is well researched and I will probably use it for my fanfic that I am still writing (KNOWING GEOGRAPHY HELPS SO MUCH AYAYAYAYAYA ).

I have a couple of questions.
In the most recent episode (28) of Boruto (EVERYTHINGISCANONokdonelol) it's mentioned that the Middle Sea is surrounded by four nations: Fire, Waves, Water, and Sea. It could be that Waves took over Tea somehow (it's suggested that they and Water are a bit more imperialistic than they used to be) or whatever. Anyway, how might that affect your map?

Also, any ideas on the location of Hoshigakure? It is important for my fic.

As far as Boruto goes I watched the first episode and that all so didn't expect anything revealed in it to be reflected here.
As for Hoshigakure and the land of bears, there is no official canon location.

No matter where I look I can't find a complete map of the Naruto world.Β

I'll be sure to put you as a reference when I get them written. Thank you friend.

Would Snow Country be a large nation or a small one though? Is it actually up north or somewhere else? I'm trying to come up with a world map for the Naruto portion of my crossover fanfiction though, and I wanted to make sure that Snow Country is in the right place.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LordRahl8 In reply to MarshalBraginsky [2014-12-19 19:37:26 +0000 UTC]

I seems only logical that snow is up close to the pole and I renumber they did take a ship to get there. As for the size keep in mind that dow to the climate it can't support as high a population for its size.

MarshalBraginsky In reply to LordRahl8 [2014-12-20 00:07:14 +0000 UTC]

I thought it would have been smaller though.

Ma man, I love your map, but can I make a (hopefully) small request? I'm writing a fic, (which I may or may not finish lol) and I was hoping you could do a new version, but with a small change.

Nothing biggy.

Ya see, in my fic, instead of the Land of Water, there's a small planet made out of the surrounding islands, making a planet roughly about a quarter the size of the Land of Fire. I'm asking you, because hell, I've never seen such a detailed map before!

My fic is called Awakening, and my name in fanfiction.net is Seldom Prodigy (if you need more info). If you can't I'd understand, but if it's the opposite then please let me know as soon as you see this. Laters!

I would say geographically it's more like France but reversed.Β Compared to United States the elemental nations are a bit on the small side..

oh and its reversed because the main land mass is in the opposite direction

Oh I see so land of fire is France, land of Lightning is Spain, Land of Water is Britain, Land of Wind is Germany and Land of Earth is Turkey. So if the Sand village is Germany does that mean Gaara is Hitler? HEIL GAARA!!

Hells-Gate-Arrested In reply to TheAnimeLord2013 [2015-05-17 16:02:36 +0000 UTC]

TheAnimeLord2013 In reply to Hells-Gate-Arrested [2015-05-17 21:00:00 +0000 UTC]

Austria-Hungary? So is this an allegory to WW1?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hells-Gate-Arrested In reply to TheAnimeLord2013 [2015-05-19 14:20:13 +0000 UTC]

In a way, though it could also be said to be an allegory to Germany. However, I feel that is a bad comparison, as that would imply that the 4th war would be a more village vs. village conflict. Also, as we know, a pre-WWII Germany was by far the most powerful nation in continental Europe, had the best army, and was led by a mad, if intelligent, man. This does not fit into the Land of Earth/Iwagakure that we've seen in the show. It does resemble a pre-WWI Austria-Hungary though.

Good to hear from you draco. Yes that was a nice location but I have to do my best to stick to canon with the map and they revealed its location back in chapter 500. Going back and looking at that chapter again I really should be combining Whirlpool with the land of waves.

Well, there are more mountainous regions than portrayed in the map as the Land of Lightning is almost entirely mountainous as well as the northern lands of the Land of Wind.

There are other places as well that have mountains, however I cannot recall them at the moment.

seriously seriously seriously. rivers. do not. work. LIKE THAT. I'm sorry, huge pet peeve of mine, but you cannot have a river that flows two different directions at once, and thus, be connected from Sound country to River country, there HAS to be a source that ISN'T the ocean, because rivers don't from FROM the ocean, the flow INTO the ocean.

LordRahl8 In reply to Arkkeeper [2011-05-20 20:00:18 +0000 UTC]

Arkkeeper In reply to Arkkeeper [2011-05-19 23:10:01 +0000 UTC]

I Suggest putting a lake in Land of Earth that has a river that flows down past land of Grass, around the Land of Fires Border (just like the one you have there) DO NOT CONNECT IT TO LAND OF RIVERS RIVERS, then have it double back just like the rivers you have already going into Land of Sound and Land of Waterfalls, get rid of the western most river in land of waterfalls.

I have just ONE nitpick about this map. Your rivers...alot of them split. Rivers, as a general rule, do not split, they only join together. If they do, they within a few kilometers, forming small islands between the river split.

Think of river networks as a tree with branches, the bottom of the trunk being the outlet to the sea, and the ends of the branches being the starting points where rainwater collects in mountains.

Sorry, just a little pet peeve of mine when it comes to fictional maps. (I'm an amateur fantasy cartographer)
