Y/N (POV)

Y/N: *Curled into a ball in the corner of your small bedroom atop a pile of dirty clothes, You start to overthink everything and you begin to have tears streaming down your face like a deluge of rain*

Where did my life go so wrong? All my life I've been too shy to meet new people. I've never even kissed a girl let alone made eye contact for longer than 5 seconds. Some would call me a wimp, others would call me a loser and I, I don't even know what I'd call myself but it wouldn't be positive. How can I expect a girl to like me if I don't even like myself? That's why I'm going to Aincrad, There I can be anyone I want to be, There, I won't be a loser...

Y/N: *You arise quickly from your woeful position amongst the dirty clothes and stare eerily at the nerve gear sitting atop your nightstand, You slowly reach out for the nerve gear and all of a sudden hear a rather loud banshee-like scream*

Little Sister: Big Brotherrrrrrrr, Dinners readyyyy, come and eat!!

Y/N: *You hastily yell "I'm not hungry, Leave me alone" as you lie down on your stain filled mattress and slip the nerve gear over your head*

Y/N: "LINK START!"

Y/N: *You arrive in Aincrad on Floor 1, Looking down at your new avatar which stands at 6'4 with an athletic build, boulder-like biceps and a jawline that could slice through butter quicker than a hot knife. Looking around you notice that more and more players are beginning to appear. You begin to wander off, looking through the market stalls browsing through the start game weapon choices*

NPC Merchant: "You going to buy something or what!?"

Y/N: *You point to a finely crafted rapier called Karakurenai sitting at the back of the stall and ask "Is that one there available?" and all of a sudden you feel a slight tap on your right shoulder, You turn around and to your surprise, no one is there, You then turn back to the merchant and the rapier you were just about to buy is no longer available, You ask the merchant where it is and he simply points to a hooded figure slipping into an alleyway a few metres from the stall. You shout out to the mysterious stranger but he/she starts running.*

Y/N: "Hey! I was just about to buy that!"

Y/N: *You begin to pursue this mystery person, down filthy alleyways and rancid backstreets, Until they finally run into an open field filled with tiny pink flowers that went on for what looked to be miles, The hooded figure completely stops and turns to face you, You shout "Just wait up, All I want to do is talk to you" the mystery person then removes their hood*

It's... It's a girl...

Asuna: Hiya, My name is Yuuki Asuna, You're fast! Nice to finally have someone keep up with me, Do you have a name stranger?

A girl asked for my name, A real girl... Oh shit! Don't screw this up Y/N!

Y/N: Uh, H... H... Hi, I'm uh... Y/N

Damn it! You totally screwed that up, you idiot!

Asuna: Hehehe, You're nervous aren't you? You don't look like the nervous type.

Y/N: Oh, Uh.. Yeah sorry...

Asuna: Don't say sorry silly, meeting new people is scary, I understand.

*You put your head down in embarrassment*

This girl, She... She's amazing, she's so understanding, why couldn't I meet someone like this in the real world...

*You raise your head back up only to see that the girl that was standing before you has disappeared in a flash, all you can see is a slim dark-haired boy who seems to be teaching someone how to fight in the distance. You look up into the sky as the sun begins to set and whisper to yourself*

Y/N: I knew it was too good to be true... A girl like her would never go for a guy like me. Until we meet again, This is goodbye... Asuna.
