Description
The movie WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT? was adapted from the original book WHO CENSORED ROGER RABBIT? by Gary K. Wolf. There are lots of interesting changes you can retroactively see if you read it. The fact that Roger is a famous Comic Strip character instead of a Film star!!
The descriptions of the characters aren't 100% complete, but there are enough details to form an image. This is my interpretation of the Roger, Eddie Valiant and Jessica Rabbit, based on those descriptions.
For fun, enjoy.

Excellent!!!
Can you imagine a novel accurate live action film? That would be amazing to see.

Great stuff! Roger looks exactly how the book describes him.
Personally, I like the book better than the movie. While the movie has great side characters, like Doom and the weasels, the book had a much better protagonist. Eddie Valiant felt so real - a hard-ass, a bigot, and a liquor-slugging, hard-punching, straight-question asking ex-marine who captivated me each time he made a hammy observation or matched wits with the police (human or otherwise.)
Edit: Also, the movie really missed out on Dominic and Rocco DeGreasy. They could've been really interesting to see portrayed on the big screen.

Nice to hear from someone else who has read the book. I would love to see a movie of the actual book, though that will likely never happen. An illustrated version (trade) would be fascinating though.

Well, there are a few sketches of the characters - and even a few animation tests - from Disney as they began work on their first production of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," which was a lot closer to the book, it seems. There's even a voice-sample from Paul Rueben, who would have played Roger.

I prefer the movie. Roger is more likeable. Plus, you don't get the piano battle between Donald and Daffy.

A grand case of the movie being better than the book.

The Mask, Jurassic Park, Shawshank Redemption, the list is surprisingly long.

I have always wanted to read that but it's kinda hard to get a hold of. Are the weasels in it? Wait, lemme check to see if you've answered that... * time lapse * ...okay, you didn't, so, are the weasels in the book?

I don't think they are, if I remember correctly, Judge Doom and the weasels were film only. I should re-read it myself, it was a quick devour.
I think it was 99 cents on kindle?

There are no weasels or Judge Doom. Or, sadly, Benny the Cab. I think Jessica and Baby Herman are the only toons other than Roger who came from the book.

Awwwh, thanks, Lordwormm. I still love your comics for the DA Universe. A friend of mine from college is actually apart of it as well. His character's name is Larry if that rings any bells.

Yeah, there are some crazy differences. I was trying to visualize what a more faithful flick would have been like.
I also discovered some scenes left out of the final shooting. Including Acme's funeral. Foghorn was preaching, the toons were crying including Superman, Mighty Mouse, Popeye, Tom & Jerry. Then the big HARVEYtoons Jester pops out of the casket and they all bust up laughing and leave.

There's another scene where the Weasels capture Eddie and tortue him by attaching a cartoon pig head to his head.
