sketches of the characters from suzanne collins' "The Hunger Games" - turning out to be my favourite series ever methinks and can't wait for the film fhjdkshfjladk *splodes*so these are the main characters from the hunger games (1st book) as i pictured them... kinda. i pictured them real but drew them anime-ish ¬¬ i will attempt semi-realism later..
explanations of why they look like they do:
Gale: tried to make him and Katniss look similar since they "could have been related"
Haymitch: a drunken hobo version of my dad. sad but true.
Rue: first though she looked like my sister, then found out she had darker skin so she ended up like this ^^
Prim: a blond version of my sister basically xD tried to make her and rue similar since Rue is described as a dark version of Prim.
Foxface: always thought she would be a scarf wearing person..
The rest is just what i got from the basic physical descriptions of each of them

Really good artwork here. I'm just wondering - the sketching is so slight - are Rue and Thresh darker than the others? I know they're supposed to be, but it's hard to tell with the sketch style you use.

Thank you for the quick response! I'm sorry I had to ask, but I've seen a load of white-washed Rues and Threshs so when I noticed the bit of shading you had, I just had to ask.
And yeah, scanner kills pencil drawings. DX

yes it totally does =_= i've been meaning to look for tutorials on scanning since mine seems to be really strange when i scan xD you haven't happened to see any on dA? o.o

:3 I haven't seen any, but a friend told me that if you recalibrate your monitor you can adjust your colors that way. I mostly just make artwork I want to upload with brighter colors now, so that it gets washed out to a more correct color by the scanner.

I've seen a lot of art on the tributes but only several include Foxface, Cato, Clove and Marvel how I imagined them, but yours are absolutly perfect for how I pictured the characters. Great Job
