sketches of the characters from suzanne collins' "The Hunger Games" - turning out to be my favourite series ever methinks and can't wait for the film fhjdkshfjladk *splodes*so these are the main characters from the hunger games (1st book) as i pictured them... kinda. i pictured them real but drew them anime-ish ¬¬ i will attempt semi-realism later..
explanations of why they look like they do:
Gale: tried to make him and Katniss look similar since they "could have been related"
Haymitch: a drunken hobo version of my dad. sad but true.
Rue: first though she looked like my sister, then found out she had darker skin so she ended up like this ^^
Prim: a blond version of my sister basically xD tried to make her and rue similar since Rue is described as a dark version of Prim.
Foxface: always thought she would be a scarf wearing person..
The rest is just what i got from the basic physical descriptions of each of them

actually i'm planning on redrawing them soon, probably in colour and digitally since a couple of them i kind of want to tweak a bit anyway

have you tried terry pratchet books hes awesome umm theres something called moon hunter if im remembering correctly, the maggie stiefvater trylogy is awesome the shiver and so on so on one ive read....i need to remember some stuff and ill update ya ^^

YUP! 8D i've only read the first of percy jackson but i totally love it and i've been planning on drawing a character sheet for that and HP like the HG ones i did >w<
ah mortal instruments and hush hush are more like the maggie stiefvater trilogy (which i've read the first one of... "shiver" i think *w* and LOVED! <3). Hush hush i love basically because the main guy in it is HILARIOUS and totally badass and generally just fantastic in general - isn't a total dick though, he does care xD the only thing i would say is that both of those series get more and more.... er... lovey dovey as they progress. eg. i LOVE the first ones, but then i think the other ones become a bit too contrived for me to completely love them, as though the plot is happening just to forward their relationship? :/ but i think that's just me, i don't want to put you off so i'd definitely recommend reading them, i just have a really low tolerance for gushyness unless i can see why they are like that. Eg. i adore the hunger games because it's as though the relationship happens in amongst all the war and fighting (not as though the book is centered around the love story) so it seems a lot more natural to me than most other books (i also like HP for that reason too). i also love shiver even though that is mostly a love story, but it is really well thought out and natural and basically not gushy xD
though that's just me being really picky, so i'd still recommend those books - they're worth reading even just for the hilarious one liners the characters come up with, and it's kind of angels/demons lore in both of them if you like that kind of stuff ^^ also i haven't read the third of the mortal instruments (and i think there are more after that) so maybe it becomes more like the first book again
but i have heard of terry pratchet, and he does sound really good, so i'll defintely try getting a few to read

ah yeah i love romance/fantasy books like those that sort of make you feel that strange sad way (i know the feeling too xD) like the end of the hunger games i was just sitting there like "..... QAQ" but i guess i just don't like gushy things when i'm not expecting it to be gushy.
I read this one called fallen a while ago, and it's kind of like this forbidden love thing between a strange boy named Daniel and a girl called Luce. Daniel is immortal and lives forever as a teen, it turns out he is kind of cursed or he's being punished, so every 17 years a girl is born who is a reincarnation of the love of his life, but dies when she gets close to him, always at age 17. Luce is one of them and by this point Daniel is tired of trying to be with the reincarnations of Luce because it just makes him feel worse, so is cold towards her and wants nothing to do with her. but she feels some sort of connection etc and tries to get to know him anyway and the story goes on from there
but yes i definitely will try and find some terry pratchet books!
