Leaving a little something here. I'm back with my art for contests. There are many I'm taking part to, and this is from Disney-club

Some time ago, they hosted a contest in which you had to create a new Disney Princess and her movie plot too. So, I came up with Eliza and her story, which we could call "The six swans".

Now it's the time for the male counterpart! In fact, we could make a new character up for this Prince contest, but we could alternatively draw the male protagonist/side character from our previous story.

*Also, a +5 extra points have to be given since I included my Princess in the picture with my Prince.

I already had mentioned Fabrice in my previous submission, but I gave little information about him. So glad I had the possibility to develop his character more and show him to you!

Design-wise, I wanted to make something that might look opposite but also complementary to Eliza's design and color palette. I think he looks good beside her and also stands out as a character on his own.

•Super short plot:

Summer of 1895. During a fair, Eliza's six brothers get transformed by an angry witch into swans. The bad guy, Thomas Edison, sees the swans and wishes to film them on camera and get rich; so he kidnaps them and brings them to France, his headquarters and where his subordinates, the Lumiére brothers, are waiting for him. Eliza sets off with her plane to France to get her brothers back. Landed and lost in Paris, she finds help in a French boy named Fabrice, who helps her find Edison's headquarters and defeat the bad guy. All ends well, and Eliza and Fabrice part, and she goes back to America with her brothers. But the two promise to see eachother again in the future. Eliza convinces the witch to turn her brothers back to normal, asking for pardon. Eliza and her brothers go back home and live happily ever after.

•Character traits & Background:

Fabrice is a 17 year old boy born and grown in Paris. Since he was little, he was destined to become a pastry chef and follow his father's path. He's an only child, and so he's the one who will own his father's famous and prestigious bakery. He was trained to become a pastry chef, but despite the years spent practicing, he's not very good at baking, nor he enjoys doing it. He always feels out of place and especially hates when his parents force him to comb his hair and put the apron on.

Fabrice feels like he's an artist, and his true dream is to live free, without obligations, and express his true nature as a poet and writer, like a true bohèmien (see Bohemianism ). So, he sneaks out of the bakery every time he can and joins his artist friends.

Fabrice is an inconstant, impulsive and sometimes incoherent guy, proud and vain, but can also be brave when in danger and put his wits to everyone's advantage. Oh, and he would sincerely love to be able to grow a moustache. He likes to draw different styles of beards on his face and then comparing them in front of the mirror, to see which would look best on him.

Fabrice meets Eliza while she roams in the suburbs of Paris, without a clue on which way to go to save her brothers. Fabrice, as a bohème fan, read a lot of books and poems in different languages, so he speaks a little Italian and some English too, and is able to communicate and help Eliza. He brings her to his "secret place", an old and dusty attic of an abandoned house. At the beginning he's a little reluctant about helping her because of the danger, but eventually follows her all the way up to Edison's lair. He eventually falls for her, admiring her decisive and independent attitude and her being out of every standard scheme.

He will let her go back to America, but promises to wait to see her again and share some more time together. Meanwhile, he will write a novel about their adventure and some poems dedicated to her too.

So, I think that's about it. Hope you like him and enjoyed his story and little trivia. I really like him and I'm satisfied with his looks. He looks a little goofy and I like it.
