Description
New Fakemon!
I wanted to upload this one in the spirit of the new Pokémon Sun and Moon, since it has a Hawaiian feel to it. This is my little tribute, let's put it that way. xP
Tikitiki is an old concept that I revamped not a long time ago; I wanted to post it later but as I told you, I wanted to post something Hawaiian related.
I don't know if I already mentioned that, but in the Noslo region the cold is really pungent (and they're all bothered by it! lol) and Pokémon are more tough and strenghtened by the harsh weather than cute and colorful. So companies usually import extravagant and exotic Pokémon from warm foreign Regions (like Alola, perhaps?) and sell them at a high price. Pokémon, in my universe, are often treated as just merch (The whole concept of my story is a critic to animal abuse, violence and merchification, after all).
Name: Tikitiki
Type: Grass/Fire
Species: Totem Pokémon
Height: 1'4" (0.4m)
Weight: 18.0 lbs (8 kg)
Ability: Chlorophyll/Flame Body
Blaze (Hidden Ability)
Fakedex entry:
Tikitiki are very mysterious Pokémon who come from a far-off Region. They were imported to Noslo in the hope that these fiery Pokémon could heat the temperature and warm the icy cold lands where people have hard times living in. Tikitiki speak in a foreign language and nor people nor Pokémon native of Noslo can understand them.
Fun facts:
- Tikitiki is inspired to a Tribal/Hawaiian totem pole, or a Tiki mask;
- Its name is formed by simply the repetion of the word Tiki.
Evolution line:
TIKITIKI ---> firestone ---> TIKI-AHA

This is interesting. Are you going to make a game from all of your fakemons?

I have not the skills to make anything like an actual game, nor I have any idea about how could I begin to do that! XD
I was thinking about making a comic, actually.

Thanks!
I still have to think of when and how I could formerly present the plotline of Noslo, but I will surely tell you everything about it some day! XD

Tiki carved statues and masks or anything similar can be found in most Polynesian cultures including Hawaii in the north of Polynesia. Still, I believe that the new region, possibly, will be based on several Islands in Polynesia
Note that Tiki is originally from Māori mythology, being the first man.
Nice statuette man, a better grass/fire or vice versa than a chili fruit that some people hopes for the new gen imo.

I wanted to sum things up in just one design but it's really hard, so I thought I found a good balance by adopting a certain design and referencing something else with the name. In pokémon they happen to mix things up too, sometimes. And I thought the name Tikitiki sounded exotic, to distinguish it better from the other fakemon natives of Noslo.
Also, it was hard to integrate the name Kumuhonua in a Pokémon name without being hard to pronounce. xP
Personally I really like the chilli pepper version of a hypothetic grass/fire, but I wanted to throw something different in the stream, just to have fun.

Of course man, I agree!
Well, as long it does not look like a regular chilipepper. Hopefully, if it happens, it will have a rather creative design

Thank you!
Well, if you google "Hawaiian mask" and "Maori mask" two aesthetically different things come out as results. I think mine looks more Hawaiian than Maori.

I use google all the time to find reference images, so it's the thing I most look up to whenever I'm doubtful about something. Google is love. Google is life. (:'D)
