.......Well, the one on the left was my first tablet drawing, the one on the right one of my first in SAI, after a lot of practice. (A few years worth)Guess it gives you hope, doesn't it?
Things I improved upon:
Anatomy- What was I thinking on the original version's eye and ear????
Coloring- Learned how to use color better, especially in the realm of digital art. Figured out how to blend properly, and how to shade. Also how to not make everything (and I mean everything) eye-bleedingly bright.
Composition- Cheesy colorful split second background to slight sinister glow and background that actually suits the picture. Even though they're basically the same (portraits of the same character) the one on the right looks looser and far more life-like.
The irony? I've already improved past the one on the right; would draw the face/ ear structure largely different. In a few months I probably won't be able to even look at the one on the right anymore. >_< Well, live and learn, yeah?
As you may have guessed, this is for the "Kick your own @$$" contest. Wish me luck.

OOoooh, I likies. You did a really good job. Shading is good, I love his expression XD and the hair is well done, too.
