Description
I have had an idea like this in my head for a while.....I wanted to create a striking avante-pop image railing against the evil media machine, flavored with my typical tounge-in-cheek style....The water is representative of afterbirth and the cord was intentionally left visible to represent the umbilical cord. the sepia look for that old family album look.
sort of rosemary's baby meets rage against the machine...

This is such a great concept...I've always thought t.v was evil, but never thought of such a fantastic idea!

I like the idea, though I think the tv shouldn't have been so straight. I also think the hair of the woman would have been better tied in a loose and messy bun, as if in an attempt at getting it out of the way.

Very nicely done; I can clearly see and understand the concept you're trying to bring across with this image. I truly believe the image and point you set out to express were realized in your finalized product. Very nicely done.

That's pretty disturbing, and I would imagine it would be immensely painful too!
Well done!

very good execution of the idea
it reminds my one sentence from MManson songs .... "God is in the TV", media are very important now, they create our lifestyles blablabla.... i know that you understand what i have on mind

OMG!
what an idea, simply excellent, so much thought and imagination, I find this somewhat ironic and not all that funny even though perhaps this is supposed to be a funny image,
excellent execution of the idea too, keep it up

I saw AdBusters mentioned above, this reminds me of something that would be seen in one. Nicely done.

I like the idea... painful.
The photo is excellent, the contrasts are clear and simple allowing for the complex thought provoking theme items.
The color is so saturated, it is a little difficult to view for me... so much sepia unlike those faded family album shots, maybe a little more room for some greys...
Very nice.

hehehe...well thought dear. you ideas always are the best. this one is no exception. the only thing i find a tad too much is the green. i would like it more if it were more desaturated and more sepia and not so greenish. but thats just my taste with colours, nothing which takes anything away from this genious concept! well done!

the only thing i can dislike with this picture is the "mother"'s expression... i am under the impression it'd be more natural so see a disgruntled face with the mouth closed, and tight, clenched jaw.. you know.. "pushing"... maybe not. i think everything else was very well sought out.

For some odd reason I can feel that Brian Eno's "Deep Blue Day" should be played to this picture... in an attempt to realize the escapism of the scene. And yet joined by the imbicilical cord. it must have been a beautiful day when the shot was taken... its conception attracted a lot of attention but made a select few very happy in that moment. Only the closest of friends would be present during a moment of birth... however evil. A vaguely voyeuristic feel to it, like it should be broadcasting the birth of itself. Maybe the picture should be placed within itself on George (the TV [and YES, the TV has a name!]).
Just some loosely connected ideas for your resonating mind.

Excellent concept. Though I am not too excited about the family album feel (what kind of a deranged family would photograph the birth of their child like this? -on second thought, the kind that would birth TVs!
) But the concept is what drives this piece and its pretty concrete.
Here is a thought: How would have the womans tummy looked during pregancy? square?
I don't even wanna know about how the TV was concieved!!
