Description
In a small village in Vietnam, we visited a farming family's home. They had just lost the eldest man of the house (the grandfather). As we were strolling throught their home, I noticed this wooden leg...and couldn't help to think that the deceased had left his left leg there and no one had moved it since his passing. He surely lost his leg in the war.The horrors that many endure are ineluctable.

Seems like I missed this one too...
This is the most powerful photo I've seen in a long time. The description is great, although the picture speaks really well for itself...
Amazing work!

I think having the sock and shoe on the leg makes it all the more meaningful. Very moving piece. Like the others said, your composition and lighting are great. +fav

You are great photographer... but you are a terrific one when you do journalism.
He left something from him behind. Maybe his family will remember him after what he left.

and when i say colors - i mean not stark black/white - but the sepia, undersaturated look that shows the texture, weather of the subject more..
