Description
took two hours, only used two pictures. I streamed it and was chatting at the same time, so it may have taken longer than it should have. Not entirely pleased with the way the hands turned out. This is the first time I've done this where I kept the model in it's original background. Also, this is the first time I've done a manip with a bird. Please critique this, tear it apart so I know what to fix for next time.Stock used:

First off I'm no expert in manipulations and the first thing that comes to mind is creepy e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Over all its an original idea. Not many manipulate anthros never mind a bird one. The bird stock works well as the lighting is on the correct side. some of your other works were not perfect in that. You could try using dodge and burn to highlight or darken areas so as not to seem so flat. For instance, the hand in the forefront could use a little more definition with some shading.
The feathers on the arm look a little like fur but understandable since you chose to go with a more human like features in this area. Perhaps try experimenting with more wing like appendages.
Overall, this being one of the few first's for you it is well done. Remember to know where your light is coming from and keep pushing your limits ^^

Thank you for taking the time to do this, I'll keep the depth of the feathers in mind. It was one of the things I was struggling with while creating it. It wasn't until it was done and people started looking at it that I realized how creepy the image was, but it kind of is.

It's a crow. They are just naturally creepy Keep on practising. I like your works and you'll find new things that work just by playing with them.

yup, and since it's not something that's done a lot it's hard to find tuts on how to do anything, so it HAS to come from playing around. Thanks again!

Indeed the animal part os but using some of the ideas that you see in tuts don't hurt to try out either. I know Elements is limited somewhat but you can still do amazing things with it. Try playing with filters, brushes and other effects as well. Might just give you that edge you need when getting frustrated. Most welcome^^

I've been trying to play with the filters and stuff, but it gets frustrating when it doesn't yield the result I want. ><

Ahh, so this is what you were working on. That is creepy, but you did a great job. THe lighting on the hand pretty well matches the head.

I should hope the lighting matches! I only used one crow image! Thanks, this is the fourth anthro I've done in this style. I'm starting to get really attached to doing them like this.

This came out nicely. It would have been epic if you created a fake reflection in the glass though X3 Alas I have no clue who to do that.

had there been a clear defined reflection of the original model in the glass, I would have attempted to create the same with the crow. Thanks!
