Inktober 2023, Day 14- Castle(vania)

Seeing as this is a work weekend and I’m even more strapped for time than a normal workday, I decided to go simple and just do a silhouette of Dracula’s Castle from the Netflix series. I only used Pentel brush pens (black ink and Aquash) and a loose sketch for this one, and did it all in about 20 minutes. The moon is a little wonky, but I actually LOVE this. It was fast and super fun and I feel satisfied with it, despite the lack of planning or detail. It scratched an itch I’ve had all month to black out the paper as much as possible (that cursed light… 😈) . And I got to make a silhouette, which isn’t something I normally practice. Maybe this is a nice go-to for really short days.

And I like the Castlevania series, games and all. It was nice to do fanart of it for once. I haven’t seen all the episodes of the Netflix series yet, but I’m diggin’ it. But my biggest pet peeve so far is the blatant lack of castle climbing. 😂
