Thank you! I wish I'd been able to make it a bit cleaner in some places... Still, it was really nice to draw

eyes are fun, especially when they look good after you're finished!

Yeah! They're easier to do digitally, I think, as you can add highlights last :0

hmm, yes that makes sense. I can't draw very well digitally (yet) so for me its easier traditionally

Aaah, I know the feeling! Digital art's really difficult to get a lot of control in, I find, especially for lineart and the like. It makes shading and colouring easier, but usually with some cost to anatomy / poses? A lot of people do sketches on paper first and then just colour them digitally - do you do that?

Yes. it certainly is. I do agree the coloring is waaaaay easier in digital (i can shade reasonably well in traditional however) I do sometimes do sketches first though not always

xD I saw this on sketchfu as well, it's incredible. The realism and shading and detail is remarkable

Thank you!!!! It's one of the few things I used a ref for, so it should be better than other stuff

I don't like referencing (because it means people can pick flaws in what I've done XD)
Also it's harder than free drawing

oh, ok. That's a really good point
I actually sometimes find it easier, because if there's a pose you don't know how to draw or shading you don't know how to do, it's good to look at someone else's work to sort of give you a push in the right direction, so it doesn't look all mutilated or anything xP

Oh my god, this is amazing! Even for using a reference, the shading is perfect, and I really really love how you did the coloration of the eye. Great job!
