Yep--another of the free drawings for someone who pre-ordered my sketchbook MYTHOS. This one is of Solid Snake, rockin' the mullet like nobody's business. Somehow Snake pulls it off--I think it must be the squinty eyes thing. He's got that whole Clint Eastwood serious/scary face that's all business...Related content

The realism of the gun and the pouches on his vest outshine his face and the right shoulder. I feel kind of let down even though those two parts are drawn very nice but that's just me being picky I guess...

Why not? I mean, it's the biggest comic con in US, and you're one of the great artists there. One of my life desire is attenting SDCC, if I ever, just once before I died (damn, I looked like a total geeks, huh?)

he is actually based on Snake Plissken from John Carpenter's Escape From New York. But Solid Snake has more depth then plissken.

I love the style of this one! The Inks and the pencils work perfectly together!

Actually there's no inks on this one. It's just 4B graphite, which is a softer "lead" that can get a darker line.
