Description This is one of the double-page spreads from my DC Comics coloring/activity book, SUPER FRIENDS: DANGER FROM THE DEEP, based on the popular pre-schooler action figure line. The entire team (even Krypto) are laying some smack down on a Lex Corp robot! Cyborg, Hawkman, Robin and Krypto were added onto the team in this book, and several DC villains too. I provided 96-pages of pencils and inks for this book, and it's out in stores now, so check it out if you see it on the shelf! Most bookstores, and stores like Walmart and Target should carry it.

Hey Loston,

I picked this book up at the supermarket tonight. Awesome stuff! I also got the "We are the Super Friends!" sticker book. Did you do that, too?

Thanks! I have a couple of the figures--they're built TOUGH. These things can take a lot of abuse, and will have to if they're to stand the test of time. Preschoolers are rough on toys. Heh.

If you have trouble finding it (and you really shouldn't), you can order it here:

It's fun to draw coloring books and kid's story books because you know that your audience is going to appreciate the artwork on a different level. It might even inspire a few of them to become comic fans, or take up the pencil and learn to draw!

Not to mention that it's incredibly flattering to think that many kids' first introduction to characters like Superman and Batman will be yours! I try not to take that sort of responsibility too lightly.

I guess Wonder Woman would be too sexy to include in the line

I'm not positive as to why Wonder Woman isn't included, but I suspect it's a matter of ownership of the licensing rights to produce Wonder Woman action figures. I believe another company has the exclusive rights to produce WW toys and figures--probably something worked out to correspond with the Wonder Woman film that was once on-track a while back. I can't say for certain that that is the deal, but it's a good bet.

My idea is that a flat-chested Wonder Woman, or any superheroine, would make for a funky lookin preschool toy. Poor little girls out there, looking for a cute Wonder Woman toy will be so sad...

This is just preschool boy toys... they really wouldn't want Wonder Woman :\
