Umi is technically a hybrid of two quirks. Her fathers side contain the ability to move and harden ones hair. Unfortunately, Umi did not inherit this very strongly as her hair has all the strength and power of a wet paper towel. It is more or less just cosmetic and an indicator of her emotions, though she has found a use for it as it plays very well into her rabbit gimmick if pig tailed into 'bunny ears' as she likes to call them.

Her actual power resides in her inheritance from her mothers side and is basically the physical abilities of a bunny rabbit. She has minor abilities such as slight increase in sense of smell and hearing as well as the ability of hindgut fermentation which is a process that allows her to get maximum nourishment and energy from her foods. The star of this weird show is of course her powerful legs which increase her speed, allows her to jump to incredible height, and packs quite the literal kick. (haha)

She also has a wittle bitty bunny tail.

While she thrives in moderate climates and tolerates cold ones she is susceptible to to overheating and does not do well in hot climates or against quirks that increase temperature wither its from fire or if someone has an electric blanket hand quirk. Umi is also sensitive to toxins, especially if eaten due to her unique digestive capabilities.

In the wild Rabbits are not exactly top of the food chain but to help them survive they've developed keen senses and speed.
Using this Umi gets the chance to use her animal instincts to avoid an attack.

Cooldown | Limitations:
While not a skill of power, its one that requires concentration and finesse. Using Prey Tell will use up any action for that turn and cannot be used in succession.

《 Bunny Hop 》

What kind of person with a rabbit quirk can't jump I says. Not this girl.
Umi can of course bounce upwards, the height of this depending on how well she 'took off' from the ground. The range of this varies between 2-4 stories tall, though she can also 'wall jump' off of buildings to gain some extra air. This is very useful in reaching a flying foe or if she just wants to kick a tall person in the face.

Cooldown | Limitations:
Jumping super high is cool and all but you can't exactly defend very well mid-air. The longer in the air the more of a sitting duck Umi is, not to mention you can't exactly change where she will land.
Using things to bounce off off only work of course if there's something actually to do that with.

What goes up must go down, and if you try hard enough that can be an earth shattering kick.
Well, that's an exaggeration but at the very least the pavements not safe.
Much like bunny hop Umi has to bounce up into the air

Cooldown | Limitations:
The higher the jump the more damage is dealt, but that also can apply to our lovely rabbit right here. While her legs are muy strong even they have their limit. Broken toes, popped joints, as well as stress to the spine are all dangers of pushing too hard. Though she's not gonna get that extra power if there inst anything to jump off of.
With the physical strain of this move it cannot be done more than four times, let alone in succession, and if her legs are damaged severely this move can not be done at all.

Background:
   Childhood:

In a world of heroes Umi was born to a pair of scientists, and from the get-go they had her life planned out for her right up until she graduated college with a PhD. They were smart, and they knew that if they did things the way they planned out they would give their child a head start in life to be the great thinker they wanted.

Umi spent her early childhood in Tokyo while her parents worked on a project. She was home schooled by her parents and teachers they brought in. She caught on fast but had little life outside her studies, not even leaving the home unless physical activity was scheduled with a fitness tutor. It was needless to say, constricting and the amount of pressure put onto Umi felt staggering to the little girl.

At Age 10 her family moved to her fathers homeland; Germany. Life was much the same for Umi, slugging through her parents lesson plans. by this age she was on the same level as a highschooler. No matter where she was she was tied to what was predetermined for her. Then, just before she turned 12 she had an epiphany.

She didn't actually have to do anything she didn't want to.

  Adolescence:

Thus Umi became a rebellious pre-teen, refusing to do homework or even chores. She began sneaking out of her home to buy unhealthy snacks that her mother would have flipped her lid if she'd seen her consume even a drop.

Though this made Umi far less miserable she still felt like something was missing. For most of her life she had had a purpose to it, even if it wasn't her own. She longed to feel passionate about something that was truly hers.

One evening on her way home from one such 'breakout' Umi hopped atop a jungle gym at a local playground to consume her pretzels and curry wurst, shoveling the fatty foods into her gob at lightning speed. She looked up at the sky and against the backdrop of the moon she could see someone with a flying quirk. Yup, they were up there alright. They were sort of flying a bit wonky though-

After that thought the person began to plummet. Umi jumped up, sending pretzels flying everywhere, and rushed forward as fast as her rabbit legs could carry her. She leaped into the air and caught the poor fella clumsily, skidding to halt once on the ground and wobbling backwards to land on her rear with the lightweight person in her arms. Her heart was pounding, she had never had an adrenaline rush like this before, though it didn't compare to the feeling she got once she confirmed the man was ok. He was ok, and she had helped.

She found out he was a sidekick to a local hero who had gotten sick on the way home, nothing too serious. He was grateful nonetheless. Umi began skulking around their agency, and while she was sort of making friends it was so much so that the Hero in charge had to put their foot down.

"You can't be here kid. We've got lots of important work to do, and what happens if you get hurt somehow? Heroes Only"

"Well I'll just become a Hero!" huffed Umi. She had said it out of anger but as soon as the words left her mouth she had realized that this was it, this is what she had wanted.

  Early Academy Life:

Umi didn't stop stalking hanging out around the hero agency. Upon the realization of her dream there was no way to stop her from being around these people, even if she was technically a high school dropout. The hero sat her down one day for a talk with the intention of making his rule clearer to her but the conversation ended up taking a strange turn. Long story short, he was moved by her intentions. He called in a favor to a more prestigious hero, who then granted Umi a recommendation to Shinohara

She does well in her studies as a Hero, having a genuine love for what she's doing. She finds herself actually wanting to push herself to do her best instead of HAVING to be the best. Her normal studies are another thing. Though technically on the same level it had been quite some years since she has had to do this. She picks things up quickly and her work is on a passable level.
