I wasn't going to be using this bot anymore, but it seemed to fit quite well for this idea. And it's letting the butterfly go by the way (not trying to catch it)

hello. got a silly question for u. how did do that background. what lights used, what type of render is it, what shader. is it all standard stuff that comes with lightwave or customized.

Any renderer with radiosity capabilities should be able to to it. You basically just crank up the radiosity settings (intensity, RPE..) and let that light the scene globally. With a simple environment like mine... it works quite well in that any gaps in the enclosed tunnel thing will look like they're glowing because there's intense light all around that wants to get in. You really just have to experiment with it...

That's really cool. One thing though, why is the colour bit-depth so low? It looks like it's in like 256 or something.
