The DAZ Troll's been sitting in my runtime for a loooong time, and I never really got to use it. Actually, I have A LOT of stuff in my runtime I haven't used, so for the last few days I've been playing around with them. This is one of my favourite renders from that exercise.EDIT: Oh w00t! I just realised that DAZ 3D featured this in its November 2007 D|S Gallery. Thanks DAZ!

generally I don't like 3-D stuff, though I certainly respect people who do it since it drives me nuts, but this is really amazing. The photographic detail is awesome and you've really managed to create something that looks like it could be real. The only thing I'd critique would be that the eyes look a shade flat to me against the detail of everything else, and since they are the main focus, that's sort of an important thing, but I expect that eyes are probably one of the most difficult things to pull off realistically and the amount of work that obviously went into the entire picture makes up for that fault.

Yep, the eyes are the most difficult part. You can have the most realistic, hi-res textures on your model but if the eyes don't look life-like it's a dead give away. I'm still figuring out how to do it. Anyway, thanks for the input!
