Description
My entry for the Rift Colossus Contest. I call it "Auctus Titanum." I had a lot of fun creating this, it was great to run wild with the concept. I had also imagined it shedding seedlings as it moved along leaving a path of untamed plantlife in it's wake. But there is already a lot going on in the image, I didn't want to clog up the composition. Critiques and comments welcome. Enjoy

I've seen a lot of excellent fantasy/horror/sci fi artists, but you're outstanding. Your ideas are brilliant and your command of color, composition, texture and every other facet of this type of artistry is some of the very best I've ever seen.

I don't much care for the little people in the foreground. I know the size reference was important, but somehow I expected "fantasy", instead of modern. Anyway, I love the creature itself: life made terrifying.

I haven't sold any of my paintings on deviantart. Whatever you do don't undercut yourself. Calculate how many hours it takes you to do a piece and then how much money per hour it would take to live off of.

Somehow it looks like something I'd see in Jumanji or so. Anyways, beautiful job; the textures are just perfect, & i love the idea of an actual man-eating plant for a colossus lol
