Chapter 3- Are We There Yet?

Both men knew you would still try to escape. This explains why you were seated right in the middle with child lock being put on. You scooted away from Oliver, seeing how he was more than eager to talk. Meanwhile, Francois seems to be busy smoking and driving. As the motel got farther and farther away, you started to feel more anxious. The events at the motel replayed over your head like a broken record. You started to tear up, but stopped yourself. You will not cry in front of them, you had to be strong, (name). To clear your thoughts out, you decided to look out the car's window.

It seemed that the whole town was asleep, with the only light source available was coming from flickering lampposts the car passes. Hearing, "Surprise adoption!" did not calm you down as Oliver hoped. He pretty much sugarcoated the term "kidnapping" and expected you to believe it. You decided to give them the silent treatment seeing how you have little to no energy left.

Sadly, Oliver would not stop talking. "Oh crud!" he suddenly exclaimed, "I forgot to properly introduce myself! How rude of me!" Ah yes, because not introducing yourself is way more rude than taking you by force. What a true gentleman. You decided to keep those thoughts to yourself, remembering he still has a knife with him. "I'm Oliver Kirkland, but please call me Ollie from now on, dear!~" He did not stop talking there. "So, what would be your name?"

"(Name),"

"What a lovely name!" He was met with silence, but did he give up speaking? Oh, you wish. He rambled on and on about the house that you'll be staying in. He made sure to emphasize the word "staying". Then he mentioned about some boys, which got your attention because meeting more people like them would be such a blast.

"Wait, there's more people?!" you asked, giving up on the whole "silent treatment" gig.

"Oh I'm sure you'll love my two boys, poppet!~" he replied, "They may seem cold, but they'll warm up to you sooner or later!" Oliver continued to talk about them, as you seemed to be curios about them. You stopped listening there. Seeing how escape is near impossible, you came up with a better plan. Taking a deep breath, you asked a question that all drivers loathe to hear.

"Are we there yet?" As those words left your mouth, you heard a groan come out of the French man.

"We're almost there," Oliver answered for you, "Just be patient, dear~"

A minute passed by.

"Are we there yet?"

"Now don't get too excited, poppet" He replied, starting to get annoyed as well. They made you suffer, so why not return the favor back?

"Are we there yet?"

"No we are not," Oliver replied more sternly this time, "Please stop asking that question, (name)." Oh boy, you were getting under their nerves.

Another minute passes, and another question passes.

"Are we there yet?" This time, Francois spoke before Oliver could've replied.

"Say that one more time, and I'll make sure that would be your last question." And with that threat, you went back to your silent mode. Oliver noticed your change in mood, and spoke to Francois about it.

"Now don't say that to the poor child! You're scaring her," Oliver chastised the irritated driver, who just ignored him. The whole ride was just Oliver talking, with both you and Francois hoping he would be quiet down. He didn't.
