Description
With the new year, I decided also to try something new: Pre-renderized skin! It's not a masterpiece but I really wanted to see what would come out.Yep, Oru again from my version of Dinosaur Adventure. Special thanks to my bro for telling me how to fix his legs
I know the Tyrannosaur was more unched over, but keep on mind that bones aren't loked in a certain position, especially vertebrae column is quite flexible, so I guess our old friend here could rise his back up a bit without troubles.
I piked these colors because I've always imagined them with dark tones, surely nothing flashy for not getting noticed too much, they're predators after all. At the top left you can see the original model: an old and senile dinosaur who can predict earthquakes thanks to machines VS middle-aged but full of experience dinosaur that sounds like Mufasa and who knows nature's premonition signs of almost anything. Take your bet on the winners! XD
Art is (c) by me, lskaori
Oru and Dinosaur Adventure are (c) by Dingo Pictures
Credits to whoever did that texture skin.

I couldn't help that XD
You're right on this one! I've chanced a senile reptilian thing into a middle-aged T-Rex who still kicks royal asses!

Nice one! It's a very good thing to try different variations of layers on a drawing; you get to know how it looks like and how to work on with it later on - awesome work!

Thanks! And to think I was afraid of making everything freeze once again! You should try textures too, it's really funny to see what might come out

welcome! that's the worst with computers, but hey the results could really surprise ya!
I've tried a few times, but on the drawings I color. it doesn't look very good... but I am however working on a picture called "Nigeria" a piece that shows an African woman with a bandeau on her head. For that I'm gonna use textures

Great! Thankfully online you can find lots of stuff to make textures with. I've tried many times before this drawing was complete, with one he looked like he was wrapped in bubble wrapper and with another one he seemed covered with that sponge used for isolate music rooms

Funny and ridicolous. Just imagine a creature big as a bus covered in bubble wrapper and a WTF look on his face

More than jungle it's the North American woods, but the humiliation is the same XDDD "Dad? What happened to you?" "Don't ask and you'll keep your sanity."

At least he didn't said "You'll now when you'll be older." The classic answer of a parent who doesn't want to answer in the first place.

The original looks like a grumpy old man XD Yours is at least a dinosaur-shaped creature X3 The feathers on his head and arms are a really nice touch :3 Also, the darker tones suit him better indeed.

He wasn't even grumpy in the first place, too senile for that! XD I wanted to give that feeling of "old bastard that still kicks ass" Maybe it could be even better if the head feathers moved along with his expressions?

That would be a cool idea. Like a frilled lizard, his feathers could raise when he's angry and flatten when he's scared, or something like that :3

And maybe he could have bird-like habits, like taking sand baths for getting rid of parasites :3

Viscontedimezzato In reply to lskaori [2012-01-07 17:40:13 +0000 UTC]
uhm uhm..a pensarci neanche un drago e definito propriamente rettile

lskaori In reply to Viscontedimezzato [2012-01-07 18:48:17 +0000 UTC]

lskaori In reply to Viscontedimezzato [2012-01-07 21:58:12 +0000 UTC]
