Description Max again! This time he's done completely with pantoni markers. I'm trying to going better in traditional coloring.

You see, I've started to think about some pratice after that bitch who I have of an art teacher yelled at me that my coloring skills where worst than a six-year-old, how nice, eh? Keep on mind that in the past years I had a teacher who made us only work with ink and never taught us anything. So, I don't know ANYTHING about how to do Shadow, light effects and such. And so... here's one of my attempts into coloring with markers, I had to clear the pic a little because my scanner darkens everything who it's already colored. Any hint is welcomed!

Art and character are (c) by me, lskaori

Very nice *claps* And the teacher needs to look at actual art made by a six year old >>; This is way better >_>

As for a tip: I never used Pantoni markers before but maybe this will work for it just the same. What I usually do when shading with markers is that I first apply the basic layer of color and then wait for it to dry firmly. After it's dried, I then apply a shade of the very same color to make it shadow-y. Just look at some marker work from me to see what I mean (I hope it's clearly explained ^^ ; ) Then I just repeat this trick over and over until it's nicely shaded.

Arrighty, hope that helps. Feel free to ask more if you want ^^

She's a snob from the "rich houses near the river" so any complain will fall on deaf ears.

Thanks for the hint! Pantoni markers are particular, they can be watered like certain kind of pencils, but they seem good for the kind of shading that you suggest. I'll even have to find a white gel pen if it's needed.

*Sweatdrop* Just don't lose your enjoyment in drawing and coloring ^^ Making art has to remain something you enjoy after all.

How interesting ^^ I need to see if I can find these markers some time. And a white gelpen is very handy and fun for highlighting, as you can see in my work XD Just make sure the colors are completely dry when using white gelpen.

She retired after this year (HALLELUYA!!!) if we are lucky, we'll get a nicer teacher.

They're particular in the shape, they're very long and with two tips, one is hard, the other one is soft, someone even uses them for doing japanese writhings for the softness of the tip.
I have a black gelpen, and from what I know: they can't be used for inking! XD

Interesting indeed, I'll keep an eye out for them when I go shopping X3 And yes, black gelpens don't make good inking pens XD

They're all black except for the stopper and a small plastic ring, so you may recognize them.

I noticed about the bad inking quality... T_T *shows very sloppy inked art*
