I know. Iβm referencing the choir singing as the Holy Hand Grenade is brought out. I was a choir kid, dude, I know what the line means. Itβs been used in dozens, if not hundreds of choral pieces since back when Latin was a common thing.

That line translates to "Merciful Jesus, Grant them rest" in latin. It's actually less funny than you think.

Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.

oAo good god how much Holy did you pack in there? Well crap, I don't think the Animal Rights people will like this (as if having a lesser boom would have XD) nor will the Ethics Board...
Well, whoever makes these things is gonna have a field day- we're gonna need to kill a lot of haters.
HAY IT DOES LOOK LIKE HIS HEAD WHEN YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE A TINY SCREEN AND ARE CLEANING YOUR GLASSES. I'm far-sighted dammit. To the point where I'd have to hold a TV Guide (oh how we miss thee) something to the order of several miles away before it would be clear. (Actually, I can read with my eyes. It just hurts after a while of trying to manually focus enough to get it clearer. Your typical text size is perfectly readable even with a slight blur, but as I relax when I read, so do my eyes and it turns into an actual blur. >w< Images, on the other hand, especially small, detailed ones, are just hell to make out. XD)

My eyes haven't changed since the 6th grade. I've had the same pair of classes since then. I just recently got a new pair because my old ones were getting small and boring. :I

lol I broke mine once a year till I was seven.
In all 15 years I've had glasses (diagnosed at age two; almost has Lazy Eye) my prescription has changed... 0.02 points to 650. xD
I still have my 9yr glasses. XD My only backup pair cuz I haven't gotten new ones since my current ones for years ago. XD

Ha, I hate it how eyes think they can be all "Haha, loser you can't see!" I don't like having to wear contacts and glasses.

Project-N25 In reply to Lt-Sandstorm [2010-09-27 16:16:33 +0000 UTC]
Good god contacts. No way in hell I'm going to put something near my eye, much less on it.
Glasses are fine for the most part, people have become pretty harmless against those, although they can be lethal. (Derp. Face planted when I was six and my glasses and my eyebrow got aquainted fast, hard, and painfully.)
Also funny how when you've worn them for fifteen years and look at yourself without them, you look really, really stupid because you're so used to having them on. Works backwards too, my sister's pretty much near my eyesight, but as a kid she doesn't need them on full-time yet. So when she does it's like "What the when did you get those?"
It's a good way to weed out jerks though. Make friends sans glasses and then put them on. If they go like 'Oh... you wear glasses...' problems could arise.

I like contacts because there's not a frame in my line of vision. For some reason seeing the frame of my glasses bothers me. Also, I can't wear cool sunglasses with them on. I like my contacts thank you.
π: 0 β©: 1
Project-N25 In reply to Lt-Sandstorm [2010-09-27 19:17:53 +0000 UTC]
Wait, you see the frame? Wear them for a long time and you adapt to them like your own eyes- you don't see your nose when you look forward, but it's still there. Even if I look directly at where my frame should be over my nose I can't see it. Only if I look to the side- where the glasses end- can I even see the same. And it sort of helps if you act like an Owl rather then look around- I typically don't look up or down without moving my head, so I rarely see the tops or bottom of my glasses.
That and glasses don't damage your eyes as you wear them. Lordy I've seen many a chart detailing Category 4 eyes from people who wore contacts- really, really narsty looking eyes, lids, and whatnot. (Ironically, I couldn't not look at the chart. It was too damn interesting. Also, I'd been wanting to look at it since I was six, but I was too shy to be seen leaning over a huge bookshelf to read the descriptions of the various conditions. A lot of them look positively unreal. Mainly because you never look at the inside of your eyelids, the underside of your eyes, or through a filter. XD)

Sometimes my nose bothers me too. I don't know why I notice small things like that... I don't think contacts can damage your eyes if you take care of the stupid things and not put them in your eyes after you've thrown them in a pile of dirt.
π: 0 β©: 1
Project-N25 In reply to Lt-Sandstorm [2010-09-28 01:34:57 +0000 UTC]
No, its the lack of oxygen that damages them I mean. YOur eyes don't have many veins on them because they don't need to- they absorb oxygen readily. However, when covered, they have to start loading veins in there, and it can get pretty greusome. Bloodshot doesn't even begin to describe the extreme cases. oAo
Well one thing's for sure- you can freeze them in contact fluid to the case and they'll be fine, as dear Riley demonstrated at a winter camp last year. (Right after we called Andre stupid for leaving his jacket outside overnight- it was literally solid, and took 20 minutes before it BEGAN to unfreeze. Granted, we suck at making fires except when being pyros, which isn't allowed at Parry Sound. D: )
