seems a bit disproportionate between body and limbs. tiny torso - massive arms?

It's literally a matter of "perspective". I suppose you've never been much into photography.
Anywho, it's kinda strange to criticize such an old piece.

It may be four years old...but this is possible my favorite piece of art ever on Link. He seems to look perfect in this image. It's hard to not be immediately absorbed by that battle-ready look. Very nice change to the common anime-style.

Yeah, this was made around the time where I changed from the traditional anime-style to my own style (as seen today).

You have done something which, after viewing a lot dev-art of link, I had thought impossible: You've made his face look masculine! Whatever you do, DON'T CHANGE THAT CHIN.
But you wanted constructive criticism, not more oo and ah. It strikes me as odd that you can see every fiber of his muscles through his loose-fit cotton tunic. Macho as it may be, even in most mature look (which I think is in TP, he seems about 20, but I'm not sure of his canon age.) he isn't that buff. If you remove the top his 6-pack and the bottom-3 arm pit...thingies and instead add some horizontal folding (or maybe vertical, folds aren't my suit), you could retain the ripped build, but without making him look like the incredible hulk.

Yeah, I don't dig all the metrosexual / gay Link styles people appearantly love so much.
The drawing is nothing special and is currently on hold - I've got serval other projects in the works.
To reply on your criticism: I may or may not, when I eventually start on this piece again, buff him down. But in reality it's really just a matter of taste. One of my trademarks is my way of drawing over-proportioned characters. I've always drawn Link (and other guys) buffed up and I've always drawn girls well endowed.

really great dude! your a really great artist! have you ever thought about drawing Ike, Marth, and Roy from Fire Emblem? id bet youd be great at them! and if you dont know yet, Marth is a GUY. kinda creepy aint it?

thanks.
no I haven't. I'm no fan of Fire Emblem, in fact never played one of the games.
only reason I draw Zelda stuff is because the fandom have stuck on me from since I was young.
yeah, I knew that. don't see what's creepy about it.

Hmmmm, the only real problem I see here, is his hand. It seems you've made the legnth of each finger between the knuckles the same. That's something that's very tough to get right, even if you're a skilled artist. What I find is best, is to get somebody to model for you, by asking them to hold onto a pipe, or a similar object, and draw what you see there, and begin practice using that as a template. Better yet, photograph that person's hand from every conceiveable angle, and use those pictures as a guide. Since the little finger is the shortest, the legnth between each knuckle should also be the shortest. It should wrap completely around the handle of the sword, with each finger leading up to the index finger curled slightly less around it. That gives it the appropriate angle you're using for this shot.
Beyond that... well, the pose is cool, but I'd move the left leg forward a bit, so that the handle of the sword isn't jabbing himself in the thigh.
For the record, although I, myself, am right-handed, a right-handed-Link doesn't sit well with me. That's why I bought the Game Cube version of Twilight Princess, instead of the Wii version. Fun as it would be to swing the Master Sword yourself, what they should've done was make two separate Links for the game. After naming Link and Epona, the game asks if you're right or left handed, asks you to hold the Wii Remote and Nunchaku appropriately according to your orientation, then gives you the appropriate Link. As opposed to flipping the entire game's horizontal orientation to make Link right-handed.
Though, in Miyamoto-san's defense, that would've been a colossal pain in the ass, and they only had so much time until they needed to release the game.

Thanks for the comment. First off, what you've found of problems have already been added on my to-do list for this old piece. My work on this project is currently on hold, so I can't tell when I'll return to it. The pose will most likely not end up as it is now. As for the hand, I do know how to draw it properly, but when I draw sketches they're usually pretty raw when it comes to anatomy, pose etc. suchs things usually change duing the inking, coloring or shading progress of my works.

I loooove how you drew his face! It's perfect! The nose is juuuuust right! It looks great!! *slobbers on self* SO many people draw him looking like a chick and IMO that's not what he looks like... and Nintendo official art surely doesn't suggest a girly man!!

Yeah, originally when I get on my creative side I draw him somewhat like the official art.
