Description
... of Equestrian provinces
A wee little map of Solar Empire provinces around Equestria owned by Sir Knight Captain Shining Armor. As a servant of the Celestial Empress, Shining surely got the most modern widget of a map ever conceived. It definitely has a number of neat functionalities, comes with removable ink and an enchanted compass automatically orienting it towards north. How practical!
Unfortunately, it does not come with shifting province name and borders, which is a horrendous oversight, considering the likelihood of conquest and cultivation of savage lands. Honestly, it's just a run-of-the-mill chart of a piece of land, made exceptional only by its compass, which, after too much magic fiddling, switches east and west once in a while. A peerless feature, no doubt unwittingly installed by the clumsy truth-seeker, who received the commission to draw it.
And now that our reckless captain knight managed to spill his coffee all over Badlands, he does not really have a choice but to commission a new one. With luck, Ministry of Honesty will assign it a higher priority instead of some short-horned cub yet to hold a quill or pencil with his telekinetic grip.
Explore its vast locations:
Solaropolis - Canterlot
Heartcore City
Sharprock Hideaway
Cartiro

Good map, and a cool concept. It's nice to see the lay of the Empire. It could actually also be helpful to you, as you can consult it while writing the story or coming up ideas, lore, etc.

I actually had to come up with some learn during the drawing to create the names and symbols, signifying what makes a province special. I stuck to the naming convention of the show. If there is Manehattan, there also has to be Loonsiana and Hexas.
But yes, this will be a good tool for orienting myself. Maybe I will add a new link into the description every time I draw a new landscape or cityscape.

Adding new links would be a nice touch. Also, couldn't find a place to mention it before, but the I really liked the rename to 'Ever Not so Free Forest' .

Oh man, this looks great!
I love the border and the compass, it gives the map that ‘antique’ feeling, like some old cartographer made it.
I spent quite some time reading the names of the places. The Frozen North, Omnious Shades and Badlands sound really interesting.
Plus, I love the names of places like Windchester and the Ever-not-so-free-forest. Venetiara is my favourite, does it have canals, gondola’s and palazzo’s?
I also love the little icons spread across the map. It says a lot about the places. The pickaxe on the mountains of Prock, the wheatheads next to Seed.
The only point of critique that I could give is that there are no palm trees on a steppe.

Thank you.
The map is VERY loosely based on canon Equestria. Obviously, there scale is much bigger and I tried to name provinces in accordance with the show's style. If there is Manehattan, why not add Hexas or Loonsiana. I added Venetiara precisely because I want to draw a city on water one day so Italy is a prime inspiration. I definitely did add a lot of rivers and lakes there. There is actually a palm symbol right above the name of Parchion Steppe. I guess it is not clear enough, I should have drawn it a bit better.
Anyways, I wanted to make this look like an actual real life prop. That is why I added all those notes and coffee stains. I really want it to feel like an existing item in my universe. Maybe I will do some more in the future, not just maps but some black and white charts or spell scroll.
