Description “Another day marches forth, today brings us the grand and bulky Golems.”
“Golem; [Goh-luhm]”
“The humble and ancient construct, Golems were once a popular species, but are now overshadowed by the Automatrons. Golems are even confused to be Automatrons. To simplify, Golems are material constructs animated by magic, so it's always magical. An Automatron is entirely mechanical and is often non magical. Moreover, Golems have the capability to be constructed with a variety of different materials, which leads to many different and interesting effects. Golems are fearsome combatants with incredible defenses. Their nature offers them several advantages and disadvantages in battle. As constructs, golems were innately immune to a number of attacks like poison and paralysis and have a resistance to magic. Moreover, they never tire and do not require sustenance to survive. Despite these strengths Golems are remarkably dumb, easily confused and susceptible to deception and possession. All of this said, Golems make incredible workers and defense if man power is unavailable. Nonetheless, Golems are constructs that bear no lifespan, rather they decay overtime and will need to restore it’s lost mass with its respective material. Moreover, Golems can vary heavily in size, with limitations based on material.”

“Wood; [Wood]”
“The first variant of Golem to ever be created, Wooden Golems are often found in woodlands and forest civilizations. Wood Golems have an average size range of 1 foot or 0.30 meters to 10 feet or 3.05 meters. Physically, these Golems boast the lowest strength and defense of the Golems. In spite of this, these Golems are the lightest and most mobile of the race, capable of performing dexterous acts most Golems cannot, with them even floating on water. Wood Golems have a deep weakness to fire, however when lit ablaze, they can strike down foes with their flaming bodies as a strengthened last stand. Wood Golems are not only the easiest to make, but are the second easiest to rebuild. As wood is a prevalent resource, these Golems have no trouble rebuilding lost mass. Socially these Golems live with their creator and fellow creations, Wood Golems are remarkably kind and playful. Despite being the weakest variant of Golem, Wood Golems are not only the most used, but the best for everyday situations. Wood Golems enjoy the presence of fellow Golems, Flora, Botan, and Piktra.”

“Stone; [Stohn]”
“As an upgrade to the initial Wood Golem, Stone Golems were the second to be created. Although most commonly found in canyons and most civilizations, Stone Golems have the most wild appearances, typically found in mountainous terrain and caves. Stone Golems have an average size range of 3 feet or 0.91 meters to 25 feet or 7.62 meters. Physically these Golems are all bulky and broad in appearance and build, as stone they have the second highest defensive and moderate offensive capabilities. Stone Golems are also the slowest of the bunch, both physically and intellect wise. Interestingly, where these Golems lack special weaknesses or abilities, they make up for in sheer number of subvariants. Due to Stone Golem being such a broad term, Mud and Sand Golems are also included in this category alongside others. Even Metal Golems, which are just better Automatrons, are part of this variant. Moreover, Stone Golems are the second easiest to make and by far the easiest to replenish with stone being almost anywhere. Socially these Golems aren’t known to follow their creator unless they are small, as their bulky nature stops them from entering most buildings. However, the majority are often trotting about following orders given to them diligently. Stone Golems are exceptionally loyal and brave, following every order to its end. Stated before, Stone Golems have the most wild appearances, these wild Golems are often still following their orders given to them by ancient civilizations or creators from long ago. Due to their feasibility to self-sustain and moderate physical attributes, Stone Golems are often used for long term projects or as guardians for locations. Stone Golems enjoy the presence of most any race, except Fey and Water Elemental for some reason.”

“Gem; [Jem]”
“A rarer variant of the Golems, Gem Golems are quite the site to see when venturing. These Golems are often found in quarries, caves, and regal locales. Gem Golems have an average size range of 5 feet or 1.52 meters to 15 feet or 4.57 meters. Physically, these Golems are much more angular and slim in build. Made of beautiful crystals, Gem Golems are the second strongest in combative capabilities, while having less overall defense than Stone Golems. Gem Golems are both speedy and rigid, fast moving and quick-witted, but their physical limbs are molded into permanent weapons or tools. Like the Stone Golems, Gem Golems have a variety of subvariants that specialize in certain magic types based on gem type. Legends say that there are mythical Gem Golems made of the magic potent krystals who are capable of all magic spell casting, regardless of magic type. Gem Golems are one of the hardest to rebuild, as gemstones are only so prevalent. Socially these Gem Golems are rarely traversing the locale, these Gems are strictly used as round the clock guards of specific treasures and entrances. Gem Golems are cold, calm, and collected; which helps them fiercely protect their payloads. Gem Golems have no opinions on the other races of Estea.”

“Lunar; [Loo-ner]”
“Both the rarest and most elusive Golem, Lunar Golems are only found in the Lunar biome and religious locale that worship the three moons. Having an average size ranging from 2 feet or 0.61 meters to 30 feet or 9.14 meters, Lunar Golems have the greatest range of sizes they are able to be created in. Physically, these Golems are remarkably Humanoid in appearance. Made of the Lunar stone and gems, these Golems are by far the strongest of all Golems on all fronts. Due to their material components, Lunar Golems are naturally capable of flight and the ability to launch its body parts over long distances and retrieve them. Similar to Hive Mines, Lunar Golems can create crystalline spikes under its targets. Lunar Golems are said to be relatively easy to replenish when in its biome and impossible otherwise. Creation of a Lunar Golem proposes the most challenge, as they can only be made by Lunar Disciples. Socially similar to Wood Golems, Lunar Golems live with their creator and fellow creations, these Golems are gentle, kind, and playful. They serve all purposes and can virtually complete any task that any of the previous Golems can. Lunar Golems are fond of Lunar Disciples and their respective moon goddess.”

“Theoretically, there are hundreds of different Golem variants in Estea, as Golems can be made out of nearly any material and will gain attributes relating to such material. However, these listed are the only ones to be actively made and researched. It’s interesting how quick the attention shifted to the Automatrons. Back in my day Golems were all the craze in Estea, with hundreds of different materials shapes and sizes made it was incredible to find two that looked the same. Moreover, Golems are superior not only due to magical properties and abilities, but because Golems have actual personalities. Sure now some Automatrons have personalities, be it one dimensional or otherwise, but Golems are the only construct to perfectly understand and replicate the uniqueness of language and the ability to sound like a Human.”
