This is the original I made before "Alien Heartbeat". I'll pretend it's inspired by the whole Devin's Alien album, but anyone close enough to me will probably connect specific song from Alien to this artwork. It's been about 2 weeks since I made it, and with each passing day I'm more and more fond of it... perhaps because the anxiety I've felt at the time is mostly gone, the weak echos here and there are bearable enough, and I can admire the agony from afar. Pain is beautiful in a way, especially mental/emotional anguish, its metallic taste, the sharp edges, the intense focus of a tunnel vision - while there is always light at the end of it.
Ultimately, the bad days are worth it, because I'm learning new things about myself, developing new skills, becoming a better person. A bad day fades away with next sunrise. The good stays with me, makes me warmer, more passionate, lets me open up bit by bit.
