Description
Made with Apophysis
Still not sure how I managed to fall for Cynic immediately after hearing them for the first time. The music just fits perfectly, lyrics get stuck in my brain, conjuring images, feeding imagination. Only one other band fit me in similar way from the very first song I've heard - Tool. Go figure, I guess.
The visual style kinda reminds me of Animatrix.
It's a bit unsettling to wonder where I'd be now without my muse. Often I feel like I'm taking first steps, learning, always learning, being an awkward teenager. I love the process of discovering everything. I guess I never realized that life can be, you know, fun and stuff.

Great image. Very 'female form' x 'buddah pose'. Also, totally checked out cynic. Not bad at all. Pretty epic actually. Kinda reminds me of if 'scorched earth policy' traded in a bit of their low end for some more progressive tones. I'll have to explore them some more, but good band tip for sure. Thanx.

Thank you I definitely see it as some sort of (female) transcendent human form. Cynic is awesome, I just started listening to them so I only know Traced In Air album. For some reason they remind me of Tool, even though the bands probably don't sound that similar, it's more like similar vibe or "energy", if you like.
I've heard some Scorched earth policy songs before, I think they have an interesting combination of styles, it's definitely cool band but kinda hard to listen to for me. I do love prog, but tharsh is difficult for me, too heavy I guess Says the girl who listens to Anaal Nathrakh, lol.

Totally! Your ability to pull angles and curves from Apophysis is quite impressive. I'm a bit out of practice too I suppose, but still. I think my mind went straight to Scorched Earth as I just found their demo CD that their singer Richard gave me back in like 2001ish, haha. Cyinic totally has that Tool vibe though for sure. I just listened through 'Traced In Air", very cool. Kinda Soulcycle/Meshuggah, style in a way. Just seems really well thought out before they hit the studio. Very good guitar and drums on that album! Anaal Nathrakh is another new one to me. Aaaaaand another amazing band tip from you! You're 2 for 2, do you have a youtube or spotify where I can scope some other new bands in your style?

Thank you It definitely takes some time to get into Apophysis but the time spent is worth it.
I actually started scrobbling on lastfm recently, so if you sort bands by most listened by me, the ones that have like 50+ listens are probably worth checking out: www.last.fm/user/EliVokounova/… or most listened albums, if you prefer.
I should probably sort them out somehow:
Blackgaze/shoegaze: Alcest (love love love Neige's harsh/clean vocals, Kodama is the best album I think), An Autumn For Crippled Children (wall of sound blackgaze/shoegaze), Heretoir
Progressive metal/rock: Ihsahn (he's the singer from Emperor, so his albums are kinda black/prog), Periphery (very djent-y), Leprous, Gojira (has some death metal elements, I think), TesseracT (also a bit djent-y), Pain Of Salvation, Devin Townsend (awesome dude), Agent Fresco (basically baby Leprous, very easy to listen to), David Maxim Micic (mostly pure djent), Tool and Cynic you already know, Orphaned Land (has some middle-eastern influences, very interesting band), Ne Obliviscaris (if you like some violin to go with your prog and harsh/clean vocals), Destiny Potato (female lead singer, she growls and stuff, love her)
Metalcore: Veil Of Maya (I know only 1 album, the others are said to have only harsh vocals, might be hard to listen to)
Black metal: Anaal Nathrakh (you already know), Bosse-de-nage (weird kinda screamo band, hard listen but I like them), Deathspell Omega (don't know them that well but what I've heard so far is cool), Dimmu Borgir (I don't listen to them but it's said to be good entry-level black metal band), Strapping Young Lad (Devin Townsend was their singer)
Misc: Nine Inch Nails (love of my life, have been listening to Trent since I was 13), Heilung (hella weird folk band, look up their live performance of Lifa on youtube)
Oh man this list looks exhausting
Send me your tips I like trying out new music as well!

That is just stunning and mind blowing. The title fits perfectly. Just curious, is it hard for you to come up with a title for your work or does it just come to you easily? because it seriously looks like you know what your doing and what simple best words to title it as (if that makes sense?)

Thank you It depends, really. This title is a fragment of lyrics that inspired me to create this piece. Often the artwork is conceptual, so the title is usually related somehow to the concept or emotional state I'm expressing in the artwork.

Nice. I can’t wait to see more of what you come up with. It literally blows my mind, the whole fractal art and bright colours. So I’m glad I found a really amazing artist who does them.

Thank you I rarely ever do symmetrical stuff because it seems so hard to pull off well
