Software used: ApophysisI've been dreaming this strange dream since I was little, over and over again. It stopped when I was about 12 and I never dreamt it again. I was unable to describe it for next few years, there were no words for it. Now I can vaguely describe it as 2 images, repeating one after the other in endless cycle. First is celestial being, there is light everywhere and I can't see his/hers face. It's an image of victory, love and some other great feelings I still can't describe. Second is the lowest being on Earth, crawling in darkness. There is garbage everywhere and a dead animal somewhere, there is fear, death and sorrow. Can anybody explain the meaning of the dream?
This artwork is on the borderline of these 2 images. An angel being born in the middle of darkness, being born to fill it with light.
Technique. This is a 3d flower (
to Chiara) with pitch 90. I kept the "channel" thingie from Receiver but enriched the bloom and added some crackle. Maybe the crackle is a bit over the top but me luvs it!

There are many fractal artists far better than me. Sometimes I am sad that I can't reach that state of brilliance but it encourages me to go on too. Maybe some day I'll get there. So get this attitude too because anything is possible, okay?

I know such mapping scripts exist, but I use Paint Shop Pro's kaleidoscope function

My mind was silenced when I saw this image - something I would not have thought possible!
I can't even begin to describe how this image makes me feel both inside and out.
It looks like its a sentient celestial being that exists inside our inner space.
It's beauty is remarkable and of such an exquisite nature of being that it really feels like it belongs to the creator and viewer at the same time.

Re (your dream): the light side of the dream is important, in that the meaning I'm seeing, which shows me a hand reaching into the darkness, brightening the further it goes to, needing to touch and comfort those that are there.
The light that touches guides us to new worlds...

to reiterate some of his words, yes the light side is important as it shows fruition or a cycle of progression. the dark side of equal importance show either the beginning or the ending depending of which side is viewed first. for instance coming from nothing which is somewhat resemblance of pre-birth and filling this emptiness with light which can symbolize the attainment of wisdom or knowledge. the whole picture is important as its shows a cycle as in the number 8. my take on your dream is the showing of inner latent talents that as a child you weren't fully able to comprehend and now is your time to find understanding and tap into those abilities. also that their are guardian angels guiding you in this and you are not alone. i see a deeper meaning too but again i believe part of this dream is calling you to wake up your inner sensitivity and come upon this conclusion for yourself. as for the picture, its simply breathtaking.

Thank you for your thoughts. So far I have only seen the dream as an allegory to being born to the world. The light part being celestial and body-less, a perfect state. The dark part being born and confined to human body and misery. I never figured out why I was unable to describe the dream as a child. Thank you again, now I can see a very new perspective of the dream.

You are so very welcome. you have talents that are just begging to be explored and art is such a beautiful way of developing them. taking walks in Nature while being contemplative of your connection to It is another wonderful way of developing these abilities. remember that being in light is the state but darkness defines it and everything has a reason for being so try to find the beauty in the whole. I'm not as active on dA anymore but if you ever need some advice i'll try my best to provide. never let such a beautiful ability go.

Beautiful, I've had similar dreams except the light was like a feeling of death and eternal energy, and the darkness was extreme comfort as I waited for a sun to come my way.
