Overall
Vision
Originality
Technique
Impact
This is definitely beyond what I've come to expect out of Apophysis. Each of the highlight shapes seems to hint at a purpose, contemplation, depth of thought, meaning. The butterfly shape with a structured pattern and grey scale invokes an emotional response often lost to fractals. For that reason Originality, Impact, and Vision were raised.
Technically, in order to isolate the patterns found in the butterfly from the rest of the piece took a higher than average skill level as well as time and energy. It shows an understanding of the finer points to the Apophysis program.
Artistically, the highlights of the piece (butterfly, globe, and that other thing <--- technical term) are fairly well balanced on their own. As a whole though, I found my eyes continuously drawn off page by the spiraling fractal pattern in the lower right. The repeating pattern becomes so overwhelming that the question of meaning within the shapes becomes lost. It also ruined the mystery of how the angles were created on the butterfly. It affected my opinions of the Vision, Impact, and Originality of the piece greatly.
If I may suggest trying 3 things to give the piece better vision and higher impact. If you have paint.net or PS, a Gausian or gradient blur from the focal point would give depth to that section, keeping your eyes from going down the rabbit hole as far and obscuring an otherwise obvious pattern. Erasure of the fractal-like characteristics of the piece would allow your 3 main highlights to shine. Try trimming the whole piece to just above the first repeating butterfly. It's by far the easiest of the 3 options but would cause you to loose part of that "thing" there <---- technical term. In my opinion, a combination of 2 and 3 would yield the best results for the least amount of effort.
