This flame is getting out of hand. I've been compulsively tweaking just to do SOMETHING because I'm so agitated. I landed a job, I wasn't even that serious about finding one but I stumbled upon an offer that was too good to pass up because I love doing that kind of work (website creation/administration, SEO etc) and it pays very well, plus I'll work only 4 days a week. I'm starting in a few days and of course I get hit by waves of depression and anxiety, usually at the same time. I'm sure it will get better once I actually settle in the new workplace. It's not that I'm not happy about it, on the contrary. It's just I dread dealing with new people and new places while I have to perform important work on top of that.
My brain is too scattered to work on the artwork in any kind of depth. So here we go, golden ring(s), promise carved in stone (any NIN fans there?). The artwork alludes to my own ring finger and the constant remainder that things are never carved in stone, relationships and people always subtly changing and evolving. As much as I love evolution and constant moving forward, a tiny part of me sometimes wishes to freeze the time just for a little bit when everything is great, when there are no issues to worry about, just living like there's no tomorrow.
Technique-wise.
Seems familiar? Yep. I really love this shape, it soothes my soul. The flame is loosely based my Underwater style - I put some weird mojo on xtrb and threw in cylinder for giggles because why the hell no. It's unheimlich. Unsettling. The way it looks familiar but it's totally different at the same time.
