Description Just a little precision here.

Animals are sorted in different classes (ex: mammals, reptiles, birds, etc).
Every class has several categories (ex: the mammals' classes are felines, rodents, canids, etc).
Then, inside every category, there are the species (ex: for felines, there are cats, lions, tigers, etc).

And finally, for every species, there are breeds/subspecies (ex: for cats, there are the Persian, the Maine Coon, the Siamese, etc).

It would be exactly the same for dragons! They're definitely reptiles, but they're not crocodiles, nor lizards or turtles or snakes. So dragons would be a new category, with their several species listed here in this tutorial.

Then, maybe, you can have fun creating your own breeds/subspecies, like for example the Hungarian Horntail of Harry Potter (which is a Wyvern), or the Night Fury of How to Train Your Dragon (which is a Western Dragon).

Ps:

So yes, as you can see, wyverns ARE dragons. All dragons are not wyverns, but all wyverns are dragons.
Historically, in myths, wyverns were considered as dragons. Also, they're big flying lizards, I mean, how could they not be dragons? Plus, tell me that when posting something wyvern-related, you don't also use the "dragon" keyword / hashtag.
It's not because Dungeons & Dragons and The Witcher decided otherwise that they're suddenly right. I am very mad with people who have rolled with this idea and now spread misinformation, so they can sound intelligent.
No you don't sound intelligent, you just heard a wrong information in a game or a movie and you decided it was the truth. Look at the historical facts, don't rely on one or two fictions, they can be wrong too.
And just another reminder : in Game of Thrones, in Harry Potter and in The Hobbit, the dragons have wings but they don't have front legs, so they're wyverns, and they're called dragons. In How to Train Your Dragon, there are many different dragon shapes, and all of them are gathered under the term "dragon". Yet those people don't talk about this?
Also, just saying "dragons are only the four-legged with wings" (refering to the Western Dragons) is like saying Eastern dragons are not dragons ; bipedal dragons are not dragons ; etc. That's stupid.

Many people believe that the mythos surrounding the eastern dragon was inspired by flying snakes (snakes that can glide between trees by flattening their bodies) which can be found in southeast Asia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysope…

Looking good so far! There are 2 typos (it's amphiptere and example) and syntax / writing style is unusual in the first paragraph. Be sure to check the writings with a native speaker before finalization and you're good to go ^-^

Interesting. Didn't know a drake was a western dragon with no wings. I've seen other people call a male western dragon a drake, so I only assumed that that's what a drake was. Nice to know this interesting information.

Yeah first I wasn't really sure too, so I made a few researches, and found out that's what they really are
Mythical creatures have never been an exact science so it's not really clear for everyone anyway

I'm glad you do! ^^
Dragon types are so messy, I did lots of researches and tried to do something really clean for once
