Oh my gods. How on earth did you manage to paint the knots? I would've gotten lazy or too confused to continue by then. Great work!

I almost went crazy painting this (especially because I ruined the first attempt). But it was a commission so I had to finish it. Anyway, glad you like it

I really love this painting. Those gems gives it a wonderful touch of colour and the knot is really awesome, it must have take you a lot of patience to do it - I spent a couple of minutes following the "line", or whatever it's called
Great job, very inspiring

I still love the fact that the piece seems under a thin layer of water, with sun shining gently through Like a remnant of a long-lost culture, yet still whole and pure.

Thanks... And I'm sure you did... I had a little break down and deleted my whole gallery - then I realised I'm being stupid and uploaded most of it back...

Thanks! Yes, it did. Especially considering I painted it twice (I got the knotwork wrong in the first version).

Me too! The previous wasn't quite right, and using Payne's grey for them was certainly a bad move. I'm glad you like the picture and the tutorial!

Yes, thank you! I think the most helpful part to me was how you explained doing gems. I never would've noticed that the dark part goes under the highlight!
