Description Very old, weird and definitely magical
Okay... I've been so tired of all the realistic, safe pictures of animals and I've just had to paint something non-realistic and funny And this was fun, that's for sure - I finally tried a new paper, Arches hot-press - it doesn't have such a smooth feeling I like on my illustration boards, but it much better allows wet in wet technique.
Original is for sale... if you're interested, just send me a note or an email and I'll be happy to reply

Watercolour on watercolour paper, 29 cm x 42 cm

Very cool. If you want to see "the last tree" watch "The Fountain"

I have to say you blow me away, I really like the tree... the freedom, the.... essance of it all. The shifting of the colours, the dance between the light and dark... this is indeed something I would love to have on my wall. When I can afford a print, i think this might just be the frist one a buy.

Gorgeous work; the lines and the abrupt start/stop of different colors remind me of stained glass.

Arches hot-press is bliss! I actually use it for both watercolour and pencil work. Its so smooth and gorgeous. And this is a really gorgeous piece of work. Gorgeous colours, gorgeous feel.

Thank you
I have to agree - it's a great paper. It allows wet in wet and smooth washes, I just love it more and more
But for the pencil work I'll probably stick with my Strathmore illustration board - it has great texture for pencils, I think
